I saw once on here in a discussion, that there was information regarding an Office Max copying discount. I called the Office max in my location to find out the discount. However they didn't know of a BeautiControl discount. Is there someone I can contact to get one? Can the person who posted that information repost it? Thanks!!!

I found the original email for you.
See below:

Hey everybody! I just wanted to let everyone know that we have a discount at OfficeMax! I worked at OfficeMax up until recently (Now I am a full time Spa Girl!! Yay!!!) and every day I helped MK, Arbonne, and Pampered Chef consultants that had a discount at OfficeMax that gave them really great pricing. Well, I thought that BeautiControl needed and deserved one too! I do all of my printing at OfficeMax, and having worked there for a long time, I still do my office supply shopping there as well. I talked to one of our account managers who is a good friend of mine, and he set the whole thing up. When I went to Celebration and found out thatwe receive alower discount at Kinko's, I came back to Chris and told him. He immediately lowered our prices at OfficeMax to beat the Kinko's pricing. Here is my deal: I'm sure Kinko's is great, but every experience I have had there has been a bad one. It seems as though they really don't care about the business their customers bring in. Now, I can't speak for all OfficeMax locations or all of their staffs, but I can say that most stores are really helpful (especially the copy centers!) and want your business. Anyhow, all of this to share with you how to receive the discount:

When you go to the store, you will need what is called a retail connect number. You can get cards with the number on them, but until you have the card, you can take the following number in and they can enter it manually. The number is 8888-0001-0420-6721-17. If you are interested in getting cards for your unit (better to get them in bulk because I think it is a little easier for Chris to send that way plus you will have them to hand out to new recruits), then just contact Chris Mercier. His email is cmercier@officemax.comor if you are more comfortable calling, his number is 314-495-2250.

Now, for an idea on the breakdown:

Full Serve Color Copies (Letter size, single sided on standard 24# paper) are 39 cents each.

Black & White (Letter size, single sided on standard 24# paper) are 4 1/2 cents each.

Lamination (Letter size, 5mil) is 85 cents per sheet.

There is more in the copy center, but I figured that these are a few of the big ones that we use a lot.

There are also discounts on some office supplies (I don't know which all items, but I have received discounts on labels, markers, pens, etc).

I hope this helps somebody out! I figure the color copy price alone is worth it because it is 10 cents cheaper per copy than Kinko's. I may bring some cards to Celebration, but it depends on whether or notI have room in my bag. :)

You too can create the life you love!

If you need cards for your team, you can contact Glenn Flynn at gflynn@officemax.com. He will make sure that you get enough cards for your team. The discount at Office Max is lower than what Kinko's has to offer, and in my experience OfficeMax is nicer and more helpful. Although, I am of course only speaking for the stores in my area and that is not necessarily the way they are everywhere. Kinko's also charges for a lot of things that OfficeMax does not charge for. HTH! :)

I got the cards for Office Max and they are A LOT cheaper than Kinkos! Glenn Flynn was nice enough to send enough for me to hand out at my unit meeting. Take advantage of it. :-)

Hi, Bethany! Is that limited to the STL area? Or is it nationwide?

How long does it take to receive the discount cards? I requested them with Chris in October and than with Glenn in Nov and I still haven't received them. So I was just wondering if it takes awhile to receive.

I don't think it should take that long. You might try contacting Glenn again and seeing what the hold up is.

Great! Thanks for all your help on this. I just emailed Mr. Flynn. Hopefully he won't be bombarded by too many emails! http://www.wahm.com/forum/smileys/smiley3.gifhttp://www.wahm.com/forum/smileys/smiley36.gif

I requested cards from Glenn and I never received them.
He responded asking me how many I needed and that was the lastI heard.

I would try e-mailing him again or you can give him a call. The numbers I have for him are: 636-544-6004 and 636-734-9455. I don't think it should take this long, so contact him to check the status. :)

I sent Chris an email twice and the email bounced back as undeliverable.
Is he still there?

SpaFun4Every1

No, you have to go through Glenn Flynn. Chris left in October, so that might be why you haven't received yours. Glenn should get them out pretty quickly I would think. He was my District Manager and knows the importance of taking care of people. :) Btw, the numbers above are Glenn's numbers or his e-mail is gflynn@officemax.com. :) HTH!

Also, though I recommend getting a card to make things easier, if you are ever in a store without a card, they "should" be able to pull it up in the system. It is under Beauty Control (with beauti spelled wrong / right). The only issue is that sometimes the system is slow and sometimes it doesn't work (I think because there is such a huge customer base, plus if they type it in wrong, it won't find the account). That is why you're better to have a card. If you write down the number I listed in the original post (the second post on this thread, second paragraph) you can take that number in and they can type it in manually until you get your cards. It will give you the discount at checkout. They just have to go in and do it manually instead of scanning it. And if they don't know how to do that, let me know b/c I can give you step by step instructions on that too! Lol. That's the beauty of being a former employee that had all the answers! :)

Let me know what happens with it. In the meantime, use that number above and send it to your teams to use. That way you'll be getting the discount. If nothing else, I can contact Glenn and see what the deal is or try to get help from a local supervisor or manager.

Oh wow!!! Glenn just called me. His office is swamped but they are in the process of working it. (Apparently they usually process ~ 30/month and are struggling with our backlogged request of 500+ for the moment.)

He also said he was the temporary point of contact while they were replacing the guy who left in Oct. When the new guy who will be handling this completes his training period, Glenn will contact Bethany with the new guy's contact info. (I've paraphrased his comments liberally. I got the impression that Glenn didn't want to scare the new guy with an avalanche of card orders like he was dealing with...)

Whew. I was SO relieved to get feedback on this. They are coming, but slowly, ladies!

Amber.......thanks for keeping us updated. I checked my mail earlier today and thought to myself....."I wonder if any one has heard about the discount cards."
Glad to know they are at least working on the issue.

I just heard from Glenn and we have a new account rep!!!! His name is Rich Weiner (pronounced Whiner) and he can be contacted at rweiner@officemax.com. I do not have his phone number, but he will get you taken care of. Part of the problem Glenn had with getting the cards was that he is a District Manager and they won't send him as many cards or as quickly. Rich will be able to get more and hopefully faster (it will still take some time though, so hang in tight and use the original code I gave you for the discount. One idea: Use a label maker or printer label and put the code on your card that you usually use for purchases there. That way you can just hand them that to use!) They are working on this and are not ignoring us. I think maybe Glenn didn't believe me when I told him how many requests he would get! :) Glenn did say that the people who have already contacted him have cards on order already, but if you need anything your new point of contact is Rich.
