Hi everyone,
I just placed my first order!
Our PA Sales tax is only 6% and I can’t charge my costumers more than 6%.
So what do you all do?

Hi:
I'm in Maryland and our sales tax is 5% so that is what I charge my customers unless they're out of state, then you can't charge sales tax.

Wow, I think I have been doing this wrong for years smileys/smiley9.gif
If someone has a catalog party for me out of state - we don't collect tax that way either? My mom does catalog shows for me in Minn(for this and for other businesses I have done in the past). and I always have her charge the customers tax - oops!

Yes, Scent-Sations can charge you tax because they are paying "your state tax" for you because you will be collecting sales tax in your state on your products.
If you don't want them to charge you tax, you have to get your owntax id # and pay your own state the sales taxes that you collect. Then give the company that tax id number and they will not charge your taxes. ( If you do this, you are legally responsible to collect taxes from your clients in your state and give that tax money to your state.)
