This is my first scent-sations holiday season so I am anxious to hear what others are doing as well - what has been working for everyone for past holidays??
Here is what I have been thinking about.I have to make up a few baskets made up for the craft fair - but I am finding it hard to fill a basket that is affordable for people. I saw some baskets with assorted votives and votive cup look nice. When you add the big jar - it gets pricy unless it is by itself. Any ideas on that one?
I bought one of those mesh body sponges at the dollar store to put in with the body wash, hand soap and a bella bar. I think that will go good. I sell hand soap and the bars - but not the body wash lately??
I like the bella bun ideas in another thread too!

I have thought about doing Bella Bun baskets w/ a holder included,
also votive baskets w/ holder included--those sell well.
I agree--when you add a jar---it becomes pricey for some at fairs/festivals.
I also like the idea of the 12 Days of Christmas. Gift wrapping a box of the 12 holiday and best selling votives w/ a gift tag attatched!

Debra,
I haven't made the gift tag yet--butit will be a To:/From: gift tag and I think I will put some type of sheet or a brochure inside w/ MB/my information.
And top if off with a stick on bow!

I would like to work on the 12 days of Christmas idea, and put the votives in little cello bags with curly ribbon inside the box to make it a little more decorative looking once they open the box.

Sandy that is a great idea - this way the scents won't combine also. How about using holiday gift wrap for the outside of the box (allowing them to open the top and see them of course)

I have made up some decorative votive cups, too. You buy the glass votive cups with the lip around the bottom from Walmart, and then go wild. I did a craft show last weekend and sold a few. I included a votive and charged five dollars for the votive and decorative holder. Didn't hardly cost anything to make. I got the idea from the craft area on the back office website. I would also suggest putting a little card by them and maybe the bella buns saying "Great Teacher Gift!". So many great ideas! LOL Lesly
I have also been dipping the pinecones and thought they might be good to put in wreaths and I am going to make up a basket with them and maybe some votive flowers. The wicker balls that you dip work well also in baskets.

Hi Ladies,
You all have some wonderful idea. I think this is what I will do for the rest of the season. Put votives in little cello bag with my business cards attached with ribbon. I think I will pass those out to people when I am out shopping and running errands.
Thanks so much for the wonderful ideas. Oh, I may also make little business cards presents.... taking my business cards and sample packs and wrapping them in wrapping paper and put ribbon on them. That sounds good too. What do you guys thing. </font></font>

Cute packaging ideas:
1) Gingerbread Votives in Clear baggies, tied with ribbon with a gingerbread man cutout.
2) Any of the Christmas Scents, packaged as a set. Wrap in a box with paper shreds and tie with a bow.
3) Cranberry Spice votives (not lit) as name place holders at the table.
4) Votive with shreds in a holiday mug from the dollar store
Staff Thank you's:
Avoid the battle of the buldge and give candles as a treat! Make a basket of Christmas votives to share with school or office staff. Let them pick one to take home.
Spread a little cheer!
Wrap a votive in cellophane, include your business card, tie with a pretty holiday ribbon. Give to ...
- Teachers
- Band / Music instructors
- Pastor's wife
- School office staff
- Neighbor
- Girlfriends
- Mailman
- UPS guy! lol
- anyone that works at a business you frequent
- Secret Santa gifts
Other:
Pass out pencils at a holiday parade with your website addresss on them.
Happy Holidays!
