View Full Version : Reasonable price for a logo?

I am building a website and I am trying to decide if I should have a logo made (well I want to have one made but trying to decide if I can afford it at this point in time). The problem is, I don't even know what a reasonable price would be for having one designed. Can someone help me out? I don't want to get stiffed. http://www.wahm.com/forum/smileys/smiley5.gif

Maybe you could design a text logo to start with while trying to decide about a logo design. Or you could even look through logo design sites to get ideas and maybe design one yourself. Check the s (http://www.thewebdesignloft.com/blog/)idebar of my blog (http://www.thewebdesignloft.com/blog/) for websites with inspiration for logo design.

Otherwise, I once asked for a quote from a great designer. She quoted, I think, around $300 for a text/shape logo and $500 (?) for a total custom logo. Not sure if that's the going rate....
