Thanks so much Lori for turning me on to Mia Bella. It's such a terrific way
to run a business that I can't figure out why ANYONE wouldn't decide to join!

I can't wait to get my first shipment, and look forward to meeting everyone

Hi!!

I read these boards regularly but have never posted. I am interested in joining Mia Bella and was wondering if maybe you could answer some questions for me?

Do you have to buy "by the case" and if so, how much is the cost?

Can you place individual orders? Or do you order monthly?

What are typical shipping costs, how long does it take after ordering to receive products?

Where can a person get their own personalized labels to put on candles?

I am very interested in this business but I worry that there are high inventory costs. Can you tell me what is the easiest/cheapest way to start this business?

Thank you so much! smileys/smiley1.gif

I will PM you some information as well as some links to review.

Yes you will need to buy by the case, but I will let you know that at first that was the one thing I was hesitant about... however... once I started showing and letting them smell from my COTM order, I was literally taking orders from the start. I had enough pre-orders (including payment) for 8 jars, and I chose 5 more jars to fill my order and my first "case order" was born!

You can place orders as often as you like, but you will need to have the case requirement, however our pillars do come in a 4-pack "case".

My labelsgoon the bottom of each jar, this includes my website, name, phone number and a little plug to join the Candle of the Month Club (some people may give these as gifts so the receiver may not know about the club).

What I did wasstart this business simply as a COTM customer so I could get the deepest discount on my orders and make the most money!

I will PM you more information in just a moment, and will pass along my phone number if you would like to talk!Edited by: dreamakr36

Hi Vicki-

I'm so glad that you are looking into this wonderful opportunity.

To answer your questions:

Yes, you will be purchasing by the case. A case of Jar candles is $108 (plus taxes and shipping....approximately $120) A case of votives is $12.00 (plus taxes and shipping) You can mix and match scents when ordering Jar Candles but votives must be all one scent. Don't forget, you will automatically receive a Jar Candle, a case of votives and a Bella Barautomatically each month if you join as a COTM Club Member. This also includes your own company website complete with a back office full of goodies. The cost for that is $39.95. (with taxes and shipping it's right under $50 per month)

You can order as little or as often as you'd like. Other than your COTM Club Membership, there are no monthly quotas.
Typical shipping costs seem to be under $10 (obviously, this is going to depend on where you live) Orders have been received in as little as 3-5 days.

As far as personalized labels for the candles, most distributors are making their own or ordering them through sites like VistaPrint.com. If you have a printer, they are extremely easy to make. If not, Vista Print is extremely reasonably priced.

If funds do not allow you to join as a COTM Member at this time, we do have an associate program as well. This option is completely free. This is basically a discount program. Your Jar Candles will cost $12 vs. the $9.00 wholesale cost and you will not receive any commissions should someone enroll under you.
As you can see, there are major advantages tojoiningthe COTM Club. But the free option is available.

There's word on the rumor mill that we will be able to send customers to our site to purchase in the near future. (my fingers are crossed!)

If you need any more help, please do not hesitate to contact me or feel free to ask any of the other wonderful Mia Bella Family Members! We are all here to help you be successful. smileys/smiley1.gif

Thank you for the information!! Did you order business cards and brochures right away or did you wait until you started making some money? My I have to say that I am very impressed with this company thus far! Thanks again, Vicki Edited by: vickij01

I didn't order brochures until the second case order, but for a 100 pack, the brocures are only $15.95. All supplies are very reasonable, you can see a list here https://www.sandysspot.scent-team.com/distributormaterials.p (https://www.sandysspot.scent-team.com/distributormaterials.php) hp

I ordered business cards from Vista Print to start out (they had a really sweet special where I got about 1,000 for $5 LOL!) and I kept the information basic, didn't use the company's name or logo but directed them to my website. I get 100 pack of 2x3 baggies from Wal-Mart (from the craft section) and shave down a votive with a grater, put about a spoonfull in each baggie and staple them to the back of my business card with a "sticker" of the scent name and another "sticker" that has a plug for the COTM.

Now that I have the brochures, I also put my lable on the back of that, and add two scent samples with each brochure and pass those out to anyone new that purchases a candle so they can have the complete product list and scent list. I have a self-printed insert with my prices. I let them know to keep the brochure for themselves or pass it along to anyone they know that may like one of our Gourmet Candles!

LOL It's not hard at all, that's the fun part. The best part for me I've found was when someone gets their first "whiff" of Sweet Orange & Chili Pepper....... you just watch their expression! It's so funny!

I have one lady that I am working on organizing a fund raiser with some of the groups she's affiliated with, I showed her one votive sample (Home for the Holidays) she smelled it and OOOOOH Order me one of those. Next I showed her Spiced Cranberry, same reaction, plus another order lol. Lastly was the SO&CP, her eyes got so big after smelling that one.... you have GOT to order me one of THESE!! Yesterday Isenther over the three jars via inter-office mail (she couldn't stop by my office unfortunately, I was dying to see her reactions one more time hehehe!), I can't wait to hear from her today!
