Just a quick question, I though I read on here somewhere that FEDEX was cheaper. I just placed an order and did FEDEX since UPS is closed Friday and the shipping was $11 and some change and then I did the same order online and shipping was cheaper, only $9 ans some change for UPS. Is FEDEX faster?
Thanks,
Shelby

Shelby,
The shipping that comes up on the initial order page may not be your shipping total overall. You would only get the true shipping costs once your order was placed. I beleive UPS is by weight and by the number of boxes shipped.
I made a boo boo last weekend and forget to order something and now have 2 orders i have to pay shipping on. talk about a double whammy! LOL I think the minimum shipping charges for UPS is 7 bucks but again they do not deliver on Friday like you said. Fedex does deliver on Saturday so that is something to consider. So personally if I needed something ASAP I would go with Fedex.
Let us know when you get your order!

I just placed an order over the phone. They told me the total was $493.07. I asked them to figure it with Fed Ex and it was $480.79. I saved $12.28 by using Fed EX!!! This is my first big order and I am so glad I called it in and asked for the difference!

I placed an order on Friday morning(the 16th) and just todayI was able to track it with the FedEx tracking and it shows that I won't receive it until the 27th. That is so not cool because I saved a couple of bucks with FedEx but instead of the normal 7 days for UPS, it is taking almost 10? That sucks. I was hoping FedEx would be faster for me but apparently not. UGH!

Oh no, that does not make sense that fed ex takes longer - may have something to do with where you are. I will definitely check into the delivery time when I make my next big order.
I believe that the fed ex ends up being cheaper with the larger orders.
Also, you or the company may be able to change it to Saturday delivery?
Good luck!

Darlene, it's because of the T-giving holiday. Since EVERYone is closed on Thursday, it's going to kick it over one day. Then you've got the weekend. So that's another two days.
I noticed the same thing, but also realized it is a holiday week.

I thought about that too but I thought we had a notice that FedEx would be open Friday and they do Saturday deliveries too. Oh well, that was the first and last time I do that. LOL I had never called in a big order like that so live and learn. I am irritated though because I really wanted my pies to send home with some of my guests. Guess that is what I get for procrastinating! LOL

Can you choose to have your COTM shipped fed ex? UPS always has such a hard time finding my house...I usually have to end up going to our nearest UPS (about a half hour away) to pick up my packages before they send them back. http://www.wahm.com/forum/smileys/smiley19.gif

Wow that sucks Becky. Have you called your UPS warehouse and spoken to a supervisor? If you make them aware of the situation I am sure that they will go above and beyond to get you your COTM package. It doesn't make any sense for you to go to the warehouse to pick up your packages. After all you are paying for a service and you are a business person. I was having the same issues as you and after a few phone calls the UPS driver got professional real quick.http://www.wahm.com/forum/smileys/smiley2.gif
I wonder too if you can get your COTM shipped via Fedex. I guess you would have to call corporate and make a request for it if they allow it. If you decide to go that route please let us know how it works out for you.

Hey there, from what I understand, you have to call in your orders to get them shipped fed ex...if you order online it will default to UPS...I'm not sure if fed ex is shipping cotm, tho? Anyone know this? All of my orders are now called in and I tell them to fed ex it!
