Are you all sick of seeing my barrage of posts lately? smileys/smiley9.gif
What can I say- you are all so great and I love this community! smileys/smiley32.gif
It's time for our quarterly teleconference to offer suggestions to our
company and make requests. I would like to help our new and flourishing
company become the best it can be, so I thought I'd know the people who
know best (fellow party planners!) for their input.
What programs, supplies, support, etc. does your company offer that you
appreciate and benefit from the most? What would you like to see added
to your company program to make it even better?
Thanks all who respond for your help. I am so blessed to have such
talented ladies to learn from! smileys/smiley20.gif
Big hugs and blessings on your day,
--Kitt

Meetings meetings meetings! I think the company should help leaders to accomodate reps by holding meetings in local areas. This would be monthly. When I say the company helping, I mean supplying the leader with a bonus to help pay for any expenses.
Recognition is very important. Whether it is a nice little pin or just walking up in front of the room in front of other reps. It motivates all.
Just my thoughts. smileys/smiley2.gif

I agree with Jody, meetings and recognition are key to making consultants feel desired.. I also think consultant promotions are great! Gives people something to work towards..
I also just think service, relating to the consultants communicating iwth the co is key. I like that I am a name, Carly knows info about me, we chat and help build a business together!

I so agree with the comments on meetings & recognition.
Last week the corporate office sent the HEAD NATIONAL sales director/trainer to do all the training for my LOCAL team meeting. It was AWESOME! I had double the attendance that I usually have, and it really pumped up my gals. Plus it was a great oppotunity for me to learn from her, and I had thechance to spend one-on-one time with the sales trainerso that she could get to know me on a more personalbasis and provide me with ideas specific to me and my team. This is actually the second time that she has come to do a meeting with me.
We (Team leaders & Directors) also received aCD of training on how to conduct team meetings. The order, what should be included, how to encourage etc. It is the first in a series so I can't wait to get more in the mail. I have also received several books on leadership (for free) from the company.
As a leader I have also received one-on-one phone calls on a by-weekly basis with a member of the training staff. She helps me plan out my month and gives me team ideas. She also does 3-way calls with me and my future team leaders.
I am not sure what type of print materials you have, but push for as much as you can get.Especially in the areas of hostess coaching and recruiting. We have the option of printing out contracts, opportunity brochures, hostess guides etc. but we can also purchase them. I love that we have that option.
Recognition! In the past 18 months I have earned3 trips, many free products/supplies, and have enjoyed seeing my name in the newsletter, BUT it has actually been much smaller gestures that have meant more to me.
1. My first year as a consultant I received a birthday card. (I had only been a consultant for 3 months and a leader for 1.)
2. Last Christmas I received a Christmas card.
3. When my hubby got sick the office sent me an encouragement card. Plus every time I call the corporate office a member of the staff askes me how my husband is doing.
4. Last month for my birthday both the national sales director and my reginal sales director called to with me a happy birthday. (plus 2 incentives that I had earned arrived on my b-day.This may seem really small, but since my hubby is sick and can't drive he couldn't get to the store so I didn't get a present. At supper my 4 year old son said, "Mommy, you didn't get a cake or any presents for your birthday!" I was able to remind him that Big Yellow Box had sent me 2 presents that day.)
Getting noticed is often more special than receiving a big incentive.
