No, Dr. Shad is not scheduled to be on there soon!!!!

Not sure what the ad means, but I did read somewhere before that Oprah did feature some Arbonne product on her "favorite things" show a few years back.

I could be wrong though......

Well I kinda wondered because at ACT we were told he has not been on yet so I wondered how this lady could make such a claim.

I think her information sounds VERY misleading and am not sure that Arbonne would have approved this ad....

It was my understanding that he has been on before but not about Arbonne. Shad said if Oprah invited him to speak on The Gift, he would indeed go but there are no plans in place for him to appear at this time.

I totally agree. I think someone is not being truthful.

I'm 99% sure he is going to be on Oprah about "The Gift" book, not necessarily Arbonne. My upline told me this just in the last 2 weeks.

Although she did say be sure everyone you know, knows you are with Arbonne - because once he is on we will be more of a household name. smileys/smiley32.gif

(I certainly would not use Oprah in any ad - this I'm sure is a big no-no)smileys/smiley2.gif

There is another board I have checked out a little and there are several very angry people on there saying they are being lied to by Arbonne consultants saying Shad is going to be on Oprah. THey feel people are using false pretenses to get people in "on the ground floor" before things "take off" My RVP told me the same thing a month ago, and then he made it very clear that it is not the case at ACT.

So I would be very careful about any claims you make. These people are only a few, but they are indicative of the suspicious nature of MANY people and I have learned a lot about what NOT to say to prospects. They also are upset that some consultants claim we are natural and that other companies use "road kill"

It has turned them off to Arbonne totally. If these few people took the time to search Arbonne on the internet and then took the time to post about it and get in arguements about it, I can only imagine there are others out there quietly feeling the same way. We don't need to make false claims or slam other products or companies to tell the Arbonne story.

Just my little "soapbox" for the night.

Yes, it came from the horses's mouth so to speak, Shad himself said he is not scheduled to appear on Oprah. I wish folks would be very careful about the info they are passing along.

By the way, I was one that this was presented this & it definitely played into my decision to join Arbonne. I came very close to quitting. I was angry, felt mislead, & several other feelings. I realized that it was theunintentional passing of poor information. Thank goodness for the gals here who helped & supported me through that period. I was able to learn what a phenomenal company this is in addition to the incredible products we offer. I found many consultants that personified the spirit of this wonderful company. The icing on the cake was being able to attend ACTNow and hear our beloved president, Rita Davenport, Bob Henry, Candace Keefe, Shad Helmstetter, & many others. There are so many extraordinary things about this company, the products, & the people that would bless anyone who decided to join, there really is no need for other claims. Kiana's mom, thanks for posting that. I was misled as well, but already in, so it didn't phase me. But I felt bad that I had been a misinformed passer on of information. So I went to those people I had been talking to and updated the info and said there were no Oprah plans for now. I also work very hard with my downline and have them send me correspondance before they send it out or share it with others. I had one who used the term "natural" all the time and I had to sit down with her and go through all her stuff and have her change that term to "pure, safe, beneficial" LOL!

I actually did a presentation recently where i had a Shaklee and Mary Kay consultant there, and didn't know about it. They both told me afterwards they appreciated the way I presented facts without slamming anyone else. And the MK consultant booked a party!!! She said it was eye opening for her and she went home and researched and is interested in Arbonne now.

Do you think if I would have said Mary Kay uses road kill she would have been as receptive??

Your post are so correct! We have an amazing product and company and they sell on their own. There is no need to bash others. People just get defensive. I have been to many parties where other product lines were discussed among the guest present in a negative tone, but I always try to turn the conversation around and let our products speak for themselves. I had a MK guest at my last party. She has used MK for 25 years and still loves it. Who am I to tell her what she should use when she loves what she is currently using! There are so many people not using anything or not happy w/ what they are using, so I focus on them. I think it would make me look desperate to bash other products and hound them into using ours. I wouldn't want other consultants bashing Arbonne. And the Oprah thing - our product and opportunity is awesome even w/o being listed on Oprah's favorite things! smileys/smiley2.gifYes, it would be awesome and wonderful for our business to have Oprah recommend it, but I think it is just as awesome that my aunt who has had psiorisis for 30 years but now loves her skin and is not embarrassed to wear a sleeveless shirt recommend Arbonne!

I agree with you all and we have to watch what we say and we do have an awesome product and opportunity! Wow, bbrown, what a testimony from your aunt! Would you share with us what she uses for her psiorisis? I personally would love to hear more testimonies like this one! Thanks yousmileys/smiley2.gif

My aunt uses the RE9 body set, and then follows up w/ skin cond. oil and rejuv. cream on her flare ups. She absolutely loves our products and is so thankful after years of using mineral oil based lotions, that she finally found Arbonne. I started selling b/c of her! If they don't want to buy the RE9 body set, I think the body gel would work awesome too. Most body washes and soaps just irritate the skin worsening the condition.
