Hello everyone. I'm new to the whole Arbonne scene, and I'm not sure if I'm going to do shows and sell or not. I just bought my business two weeks ago, and I'm VERY pleased with the products. I have a possible show inquiry, but she hasn't decided yet. Anyway, how do you go about ordering sample packs and other things you need to do shows? I know ther's some kit, but it only comes with one sample of each skin type (to my knowledge). So, if anyone could explain, I'd greatly appreciate it. Thanks everyone.

Hi Sherrie and welcome! There are really no "kits" in Arbonne. You can buy whatever you want to start w/. Many consultants have put together suggestion orders to get started, but it all depends on how much $$ you want to invest in your business. Many consultants have started their business just w/ their $29 account and a catalog. It is easier to be able to show product though. At my parties, I have everyone try the RE9 anti-aging set and the sea salt scrub. I have just now added doing foot baths w/ dish bins I picked up at walmart for 1$. They soak their feet w/ bath salts and follow w/ the holiday pampermint set. It has been going well. I also purchased the make-up when I signed up, so I have that out too.

What products did you purchase? You can design a class around any product!

I bought the Clear Advantage Skin Care products, the light-medium loose powder, cleansing gel, herbal foot creme, lip saver, and the RE9 Deep Pore Cleansing Masque. I think that's it...lol. Anyway, I know there are samples that you use at shows (or my neighbor does) b/c we all sit in front of the mirror and use our sample pack that matches our skin type. That's what I can't find anywhere. I know I could buy the bigger "normal" versions of the sets, but I'd rather have samples.

Okay, after "waking up", I finally found what I was looking for. Thanks for your help. Do you have any "tried and true" tips for a newbie?

Oh, I have never heard of using samples for each person at parties before - thats new to me! I just stick to the RE9. That way you buy one set, but it last for quite some time. Most everyone can use the RE9 b/c it is self-adjusting and so far my parties have been w/ woman 30+ looking for anti-aging. I have had younger women ( I am 26 myself but use RE9) and they still enjoy trying the RE9. I had 2 college girls last week at a party. I even noticed a difference under their eyes w/ puffiness! If they feel too young for the RE9 I recommend the basics set and that has worked out well for me. But you do whatever you are comfortable w/! My personal opinion though is that RE9 is a great sell and it could get costly buying samples for every party, plus you don't get volume credit for samples. But, this is how you were introduced to Arbonne, so you may be more comfortable this way. There are so many ways to do the business!

How does the RE9 compare to the Clear Advantage? I have a slight acne problem, but nothing major. I bought the Clear Advantage b/c I was using Proactiv, and it was a bit too harsh. Just curious. Thanks.

RE9 is an anti-aging line and Clear Advantage is an acne line.

BTW, I love that you "bought" your business! I hear so many talk about starting a business but realizing that we have bought/purchased our business is awesome!!

Okay, I knew that...LOL! Anyway, b/c the RE9 is self-adjusting, does/has it worked for those with little acne? I know I've got 45 days to use the Clear Advantage to make sure it's what I want, but if the RE9 will help with acne AND fight aging, then I'd rather have it...kwim? TIA

It has worked both ways. My sponsor 2 up had severe acne and was on acutane before she started Arbonne. She uses RE9 and loves the results. Some people can't use the RE9 b/c it is too much for there skin but you can mix and match. If the moisturizer in RE9 is too oily for you, use a different moisturizer. YOu never know until you try it. And you gotta give it a really good try. I started using the RE9 back in Feb and loved the results up until July. I started breaking out w/ cystic type acne so I switched to the Clear Advantage. I thought the CA was too drying for my skin. So, after a couple months use I switched back to RE9, but I still take the Clear Advantage supplement. I think the breakouts was more of a hormone thing. I have been having great results again. I just love the way RE9 makes my skin feel, and if I break out, I slab some of the extra strength mask for spot treatment.

My sister is breaking out w/the same type of acne you described. She uses the xtra strength mask & thermal fusion. I switched the n/o day cream for her, but still she is breaking out. What do you suggest? I told her to put the acne lotion on the break outs & discontinue the serum. Any other suggestions?

I believe that the acne system is for people with SEVERE acne, if your acne is not severe then it may dry your skin out. That's what I have been told anyway!
