It is my goal to be one of the first, if not the first, military EOA successes! We draw strength from our lives and it comes to great use in our businesses. I am a bit more motivated recently since we just found out that the Air Force is downsizing next summer, and my husband's graduation year from OTS is on the list.smileys/smiley5.gifBut, it is in God's hands and so is my business!
Lisa, has your hubby been deployed before? Probably, how many times? He is in my prayers!

Hi Barbara, No he has spent the last 3 years as a drill seargent so that kept him stateside and know he is writing op orders for the corrections officers, the corrections field is one of the top recruiting fields in the Army because of all that has happened recently. The army has woke up and said maybe we should get people in those jobs that know and have been trained in the corrections field. Hubby was in the first golf war before me and baby. Thank you. Has hubby thought about the Army they are giving people $6,000.00 to go into the corrections field. What I like about that if they have to go to Iraq at least they are behind a wall. Somewhat safe, also the corrections field is small so promotions have been good my husband has 15 years in and hopefully will make the 1st sgt. list this year. I am very proud of him.

No, we haven't really considered switching branches. It is available, but we entered the military wanting the AF b/c we heard it is the best for families. He has only been in going on 4 years and we haven't even decided if we were going to make a career of it. How do you like being in the Army? I just know if he crosses over, that will be a definite ticket back to Iraq. He just got back and since we have been in, he has been gone about 1/2 the time. I don't know, it is just a bit discouraging. All the things that military families sacrifice, but proudly for their country, it is a hard pill to swallow to hear that you might be let go. Job security was always our # 1 for staying in the military. I think we are going to wait it out to see if he is retained. If not, we will choose a different career field. He was always interested in the Secret Service or FBI. Thank you though for your concern and suggestion. Congrats to your hubby! ONly 5 more years to retirement!
