View Full Version : Help me with Crazedlist.org

I can't get crazedlist.org to work like it used to. Whenever I search now, all I get is a lot of Craigslist homepages! How can I make this work like it's supposed to? I use Internet Explorer.

Thank you

I had the same problem with Internet explorer. This is what you have to do, first get Firefox. Than follow these instructions:

go to the location bar in firefox and type "about:config" and hit return. there will be a window with a bunch of stuff, in the filter field type "sendrefer" this will reduce the big list to network.http.sendRefererHeader. click on that row, and change the 2 to 1 or 0 (1 will send the referrer to a site when you click on a link only, 0 will not send any referrer information -- thanks to brian for the about:config tip!).

I'm sorry but I don't want Firefox. I want to keep IE. How canI make it work??

I have Firefox installed just to run Crazedlist. Unfortunately Crazedlist is not very compatible with IE.
You can download Firefox and keep IE as your main browser. Just open it up when you need it.

I have firefox for crazedlist and still have IE for everything else. You don't have to get rid of IE.

I have now downloaded Firefox, but I don't know how I can make it work with Crazedlist:( I don't understand what to do.

Anyone who can help me?

You use Firefox just like you use IE. Just type www.crazedlist.org (http://www.crazedlist.org) into the address bar and it should bring up the homepage.
Put in your search criteria (you can even save it if you do the same searches all the time) and click search.

Hope that helps!

Yes I understand that, but when I search all I see is Craigslist homepages!

1. Go to the location bar (where you type web address)in firefox and type "about:config" and hit return.
2. There will be a window with a bunch of stuff, in the filterwhite boxtype "sendrefer"
3. This will reduce the big list to "network.http.sendRefererHeader."
4. Right click on that row, select modifyandchange the 2 to 1 or 0 (1 will send the referrer to a site when you click on a link only, 0 will not send any referrer information)

I put a zero in and it works great. That is all you have to do.

There is no workaround for crazedlist and IE.
