Math wasn't exactly my forte in High School.





My question is: how do you figure out the sales tax? I'm in California and where I'm at, the sales tax is 8.25%. So how do I calculate this?


Don't mean to be a pain about this, but since I got my Sellers Permit, I gotta do it.smileys/smiley4.gif

ok--say you sell a jar for $18.00


do $18.00 * .0825---which equals 1.485


so the price plus tax will be $19.49


multiply whatever you are selling by .0825
