I just joined up in Lia sophia jewlery. my first show is Nov 26. I have been so excited, but now im getting very nervous, thinking of all the things that can go wrong. What if i dont sell enough, or no one shows up. I have decided im going to put my all into this and do the best i can. But i want to be successful. thats just my personality. always a perfectionist.
Any good ideas how to advertise my buisness.??
thanks

Doreen,
It might help to start thinking of everything that could go RIGHT! We tend to get what we think about, so start your contingency planning for when business booms. Will you be ready? With Lia Sophia, it seems like not that much could go wrong to dampen the spirits at a party. Then just let them shop! I've hosted and have been to several parties. It seems like a sure bet! When you're having fun, your guests are having fun. And that's the most important thing! If they're having fun, they won't care if you make a mistake or two. Heck, you're just starting and you can have loads of fun with that. No one expects you to be perfect at your first show. Just have fun!Edited by: AtHomeLeah

These ladies are right...be sure to wear the jewelry, wear a smile and be positive. I would recommend over-inviting guests also. Don't forget to call and remind all guests. If you call them, they will come!
Good Luck!!

It may help to make a checklist of everything you want to take with you.
Also, a bulleted list of everything you want to cover can serve as a quick reference, if you are not sure you covered everything you wanted to cover.

Doreen,
Don't dwell on it and get to nervous. This is sure to show...
Relax, you wil do great. I remember my good friend did pampered
chef and felt the same way. But guess what? everything went
great. Afterall i'm sure you know most of the people at the show...
We had a group of about 5 or six of us that all had similar
businesses. (pampered chef, jewelry, baby clothes, southern
living, tastefully simple etc) We built off of each other and
used each others contacts...
we also sent out little postcards, ads in local small newspapers, and
delivered flyers in neighborhoods. it worked out pretty good.
GOOD LUCK!! keep us posted...
