Hi all! I just purchased some Acne Wash and Toner from Arbonne (my friendjust started and wanted to help her get going). My hormones have been going nuts lately so I was breaking out a lot. Have been using the Acne Wash and Toner for about 1 week (religiously) and my face is worse now than it ever has been AND my face is so oily that it shines from a mile away! It's awful! My normal complexion is semi-oily in the T-Zone, but I have a tendency to get really dry in the fall/winter when the heat is on.
Can someone help? I've heard good things about Arbonne, but I'm not really happy with what I'm seeing so far. Any tips or advice??
Thanks!!
Kirstin

Sometimes when you start a new product it will make your face break out
because your skin is trying to adjust. This can happen with any new
product change regardless of the brand. Give it just a little more
time. It is possible too that you are drying out the surface of your
skin too</span> much and it is
causing more oil production. Maybe experiment with the Acne wash
in combination with the N/O toner and perhaps the Bio-Matte moisturizer
or N/O moisture cream and then use the Clear Advantage acne lotion at
night only.

Hi Kristin,
I think you'd probably do better with the Normal/Oily basics line. It's true that youmay experience worse breakouts right at first, but your reaction seems extreme. Arbonne has a 45 day return policy, so your friend should be able to exchange for you no problem.
HTH!

You might actually need a moisturizer. Even though salicylic acid is less drying than benzoyl peroxide, it can still be quite drying for some people. The skin can actually over-correct by producing too much sebum to combat the dryness, which makes oil and blemishes even worse.
I use the Clear Advantage system but I alternate moisturizers ... CA, BioMatte, & Rejuvenating - but I always use one.

Kirsten,
As usual these ladies have given you some great advice. To clarify N/O is Mormal to oiuly & CA is Clear Advantage. You might have already known that but it took me a bit to get some of the abbreviations we use figured out.smileys/smiley36.gif

I have also found that the Clear Advantage line might be too much for some adults (i.e. they do well with our other products).Adding the natural balancing creams to your regimen might help as well.

Thanks everyone! I'll contact my friend about ordering some of the products mentioned. Thanks for all the help! And the abbreviation assistance was helpful, too. Thanks Teresa! smileys/smiley4.gif
