How do you find out about Expos, Craft shows, fairs, etc? I have only lived in my area for a few years and have no idea how to find out about these events in time to get a table? Usually by the time I hear about them it is too late! Edited by: krispyrice1230

I find my sources at pta's, other direct sales reps that I have a network with, and eventcenter.com.

I find my shows at www.craftlister.com (http://www.craftlister.com) and by looking in the Thrift Nickel paper and newspaper. I also will stop in at my state's visitor center and collect pamplets and booklets about what is going on in the state. These usually list events that take place every year. Hope this helps.

I use craftlister too.. Also, at the library, they probably offer a calendar of events for your area and surrounding areas. Plus, I did a search on google for festivals, craft fairs and vendor fairs in my area and got LOTS of great events!

If you would like to stay local, you can get online with your chamber of commerce. They typically list events and dates through the next year. Once you find a venue/event that you would like to attend, contact the organizer.

If you have any museums, botanical gardens, or other venues in town, contact them. They might have websites that will list upcoming events and festivals. Also, if your state has a website, you can get online with the parks and recreation department. They will list all of the venues in the state...

Good luck!

Ive used the Chamber of Commerce alot as well, Craftlister for some...but Ive also found if you get in with some of them they give you first chance at getting a table for the next year with your company...if you dont respond or do it one year than they usually find someone else....Ive had a few like this, so if I cant do one I try to get a team member to do it so that we can always have first chance at getting it every year.

Hi,

Check with your local chamber of commerce. Depending on the size
of the event they should have information regarding events coming ot
the area...

Also check with the venue location. They will definately have a
list of upcoming events. This should give you plenty of time to
contact the event holder to reserve space.

Hope this helps!!
