Hi Terry,
Not sure what you mean. What part of this are you wondering if it's for real? I guess since your name is Terry and it is addressed to Kathy, that would make me wonder, too. smileys/smiley2.gif
The first part in pretty standard, if it is true. A lot of companies outsource their manufacturing. Common practice.
The second part doesn't sound bad. If Arbonne is following guidelines from the ADA and AMA, I'm sure that's fine. I wonder if clinicalstudies are required on a supplement?

Hi All:
I am not at all concerned. I trust in these products and the company. It is not unreasonable that they don't manufacture their vitamins. I think to be really successful in this business you have to believe in what you do and what you sell.
Just my opinion, Denise

Hi Terry,
A lotof multi, multi million (and billion) dollar companies do not manufacture their own products. (For example, electronic makers like Dell, HP, IBM, etc.) It costs too much for manufacturing lines to be acquired and set up, so they outsource the work to experts. From a quality perspective, I'm sure the final QC testing is done per standards that every manufacturing facility has in place. (I have a manufacturing background, in case you haven't guessed smileys/smiley2.gif.)
I wouldn't be too concerned about the response. I'm confident that Arbonne has the right practices in place. smileys/smiley1.gif

Well,
I can't fully explain in a quick reply about how contract manufacturing works, but I do know that manufacturing vitamins and the like have a whole host of different requirements than dog food, or tuna fish. smileys/smiley2.gif
The quality control department in any manufacturing facility has processes in place to prevent something like changing the labels, etc. It just doesn't happen like that.
I have faith in Arbonne and their manufacturers. I really do.

Arbonne is unique and special. smileys/smiley1.gif
This recent insight shouldn't change your vision. Like I said before, few companies actually manufacture their own product. The manufacturing lines cost several million dollars each just to set up (not including staffing and running), and that kind of work is outsourced to experts while the company focuses it's dollars on R&D.
We have a proprietary blend. NO one else owns that -- Arbonne only. So, there's no one else out there that has our formula. No one slappinganother label on our stuff.
From what I read in the product knowledge, the supplements are manufactured in FDA approved facilities and final products are tested for potency, purity, and are under strict QC proceduresto guarantee an effective and safe product.
That's pretty standard. Nothing shocking here. Hope your faith is restored. smileys/smiley1.gif

Arbonne in no different than many companies in business today. Contract manufacturing is nothing new and I would have been shocked it you told me they made every single productin-house.
Look at it this way. Many people became Arbonne consultants becausetheyhave the opportunity to earn an income selling QUALITYproducts. I'm sure Arbonne hascontracted with a reputable company who can ensure consistancy with the products and meet the volume demands every month.

Terry,
I'm confused because you said you have never gotten a response from Arbonne. What e-mail address did this reply come from?
Sarah
P.S. I'm affraid that sounds sarcastic, but I really am curious if this even came from a legit source.

Well, even though the things in the e-mail you received don't sound that bad, I'm seriously questioning whether they are true. I have never received an e-mail response from Arbonne either. What makes this consultant friend of yours so special, that she would be receiving responses?

I am new to Arbonne as of October and I had to e-mail a quesiton to Arbonne regarding a potential customer that is moving out of the country. I received a reply within 48 hours. I am not sure why you are not receiving a reply but I have had nothing but great customer service from them!

Not only are our formulas proprietary, Candace said that no other products are made in the same "vats" (sorry, can't rememberthe exactterm she used) as ours are so there is not even the possibility of cross contaminatione, etc.
Terry-which email addy were you using to contact Arbonne? I learned that the one for product knowledge answers more readily than others I have had. Also, my last 4 phone calls to Arbonne were less than a 30 second wait time...WOW!
I'm glad you are still enjoying the products, they are awesome as we all know!

My experience with receiving email responses has been very inconsistent. As a result, I mentioned it to my upline as I feel the only way an issue can get addressed is if it's elevated. So it may be worth mentioning your experience to your upline.
On the other hand, I also recognize that the inconsistency in customer service may be related to Arbonne's growth (and thank goodness Arbonne is doing well).
Finally, if you're really concerned about the content of the email, why not try reaching the author directly? After all, there's a name attached to the email......

Hi girls
I know that when I work in the food service industry that we went on alot of plants that manufactured different brands names. They all had formulas( spec's)that they had to follow, usually these lots that were delivered, were tested and could be accepted or rejected by the companys. I'm sure this is true with Arbonne. Does anyone remember when the new baby Lotion or wash wasn't available. I heard that was due to it coming and not been up to our formula, so the whole shipment wasn't accepted. I hope this helps to understand the manufacturing business
