I have noticed that a lot of web designers offer hosting as well. How is this done and how much does it cost?

TIA

Most use a reseller plan and work with them. My host company offers me the ability to directly modify my clients files, so I have easier access to make changes to their sites. A HUGE bonus with my clients.

Alot of hosting companies will charge you a monthly fee to be a reseller for them as well. I have one that doesn't and the service is outstanding.

Are you looking to become a reseller or are you interested in hosting options?

Hi Misty,

I offer a reseller program for hosting. Feel free to visit my website for more information.

www.easywebsitetoday.com (http://www.easywebsitetoday.com) also offers a very affordable hosting reseller option. You can even sell domain names and additional products with that company.

Thanks for all of the information. I wanted to be able to offer the services that other designers offer and I am going to look over my options very soon.

I use DealHostUSA.com (http://www.dealhostusa.com). Their prices are low enough, giving me the chance to charge my clients a higher fee and earn a profit in return. The nameservers are anonymous, so my clients never know I am reselling packages from deal host usa (http://dealhostusa.com)

This is just a simple idea that you might find useful.

Another way is to purchase or rent your own server (examples: dedicated server, managed server), but that is more expensive.

Since you're looking to resell, I'd go with Resellerpanel.com

No charge, you can login to your clients accounts as an admin, and make changes, site maintenance, support 24x7...it's awesome!

My partner and I decided to go the dedicated server route. We got an amazing deal on it and it is definitely worth the money.
