Hi all

I am looking for fun and creative ways to excite and motivate my TEAM for 2006 in sales and recruiting. I am not sure if this is the forum or if there is another I can post this on but I want to see what kinds of incentives any of you use with your TEAMS. I have roughly 50+ in my downline and I've come up with some really fun things but am looking for more ideas.

I'd love to hear any ideas you have used that have been successful or ideas you have heard of. What would excite and motivate you?

Thanks for all your input and help!

Colleen

Hmm...

Business products. Things that make them proud of who they represent (key chains, biz cards, t-shirts, etc).

Colleen,

I'm in the same boat. Here's something I have in the back of my mind for the first half of '06. In July/August we have our annual convention. Last year, everyone wished they had enough money to take a limo for the four hour ride. I'd like to set TEAM goals for the first half of the year. If the team makes the goals, we're riding in style!

Does your company have logowear that you can buy? Most companies have some, but it can be rather pricey. My team (me included!) goes ga-ga over free logowear or other business supplies with our logo on it.

For me, when it comes to goals set by my executives, I get most motivated by the chance to earn things that will further enhance my business, but I might not otherwise invest in. Office supplies, logowear, books, even several smaller gifts that I can use for my own downline.

I am in the same boat with needing to decide these things. I am still learning my leadership role and I sometimes struggle with how to reward my gals. It seems like a little certificate or even just a mention of her success at a team meeting is enough for them. But what will get them out of their comfort zone???????

Good question!!!!

Another thing I've thought ot doing...

Have a set goal. Some examples might be: recruit 2 in one month, do 6 parties in one month, etc

Those who acheive this get a girl's night out...I'd treat them to a pediure, manicure whatever at a local nail salon. Of course this would only work with the locals.

Just a thought...

I like to do drawings for several prizes. I agree that business
packages are always fun to win or additional product packages etc.
I like to give lots of chances to win so I put a number on the
entries for each goal met and I try to reward at EVERY level so
everyone can have a chance to win the drawings. With more sales
and sponsoring you get more entries!

I don't know how much your convention costs, but have you thought about
a contest where the grand prize would be their convention fee is paid
for? My upline does this and of course you have to attend convention
and then you get your reimbursement there at the awards dinner!

My Director just started this for November:

places a $500 Inventory Order or

place a $1000 Order, you willreceive2 gifts from me!

Recruita New Consultant, receive 1 gift

Recruita New Consultant w/a qualifying order, receive 2 gifts!
[/list]

To promote posting our bookings on the online calendar, she does a drawing to win $25 in free product. One drawing is for the consultant and the other goes to a Hostess.

I can't wait to see what she sends this month!

Hope that gives you some more ideas.

I always love
it when I earn/win a "gift card" to spend on whatever I want and buy
our business supplies...samples, inventory, logo wear, order forms, etc!

A good prize (a BIG one) would be a yard card or car decal/magnet...either get it through your company or special order it.

The key to downline incentives...I think...is to follow it with loads of praise. And public praise.smileys/smiley17.gif

I love these ideas and I do several already. For instance I always do the public praise at my local TEAM meeting as well as my long distance TEAM meeting. I have probably 75% of my team spread out the US so I do team tele meetings. I also do a monthly newsletter for my reps and acknowledge sales, top party show, recruiting, natural start months, promotions, etc.

For local team meetings I have a basket and if they have 750 in sales they get to choose an item from the basket as well as recruits they choose an item also. I actually do offer spa certificates to those out of town/state I just go online and find a salon in their area and pay for the treatment they get done.

Thanks for the ideas guys!

Well here is a unique idea for you all. Noah's Ark Workshop the company I represent does corporate events as well. We put a rainbow wish star in all of our animals that the maker makes a wish on. We have done some parties for DS companies where each person has made an animal and with a white t-shirt to write their goals for that year and made a wish on their star to put in their animal than. Through out the year where encouraged to refer back to that list and to squeeze their animals when things went wrong and when things went well. The white t-shirts have their goals written or drawn on them and it makes for a really neat walk away and a reminder that lasts of what to work for in the next year.

I have been trying to come up with ideas as well. My team has grown outstandingly in the last 6 short months. I need to get on the ball!

I do offer telemeetings! I have been giving prizes for them to email me their monthly line-ups, and if they email me their goals. I want to work one on one with each of them on their goals. Set up a plan to get them there.

I have given away business cards, a zig ziglar book and a Belinda Ellsworth CD. All business related. www.thebooster.com (http://www.thebooster.com) also has some great things

Keep the ideas going ladies! What would be cool is to have a leaders folder. smileys/smiley2.gif Share downline ideas etc.

WOW Jody! Awesome on your growth! Last month Sensaria had a special for the business kit for only 100.00! It was so successful we signed on 1098 reps in November and they are continuing thei 100.00 business kit until 12/31. We added over 20 TEAM members to my TEAM in November and we are doing the same this month it's awesome!

I also like to give Motivational books/tapes with a DS background. I am going to do an incentive for my TEAM out in IN and it will include a spa diva day. I have over 15 in Indiana and I am in CA so I will fly out there to do something special for them!

Thanks for all the ideas girls!

In the past, I have set up plans to help my team earn the fees and airfare to our convention. I put a percentage of their earnings into an account for them. Then I put an additional set amount into the account for each recruit. Just a note though, they can only collect what has been earned at the convention, when I see them face to face.

This year Iam also going to be starting a system where they earn points or "bucks". There will be a set list of items they may purchase with their points. Some will be business supplies through the company, some will be business supplies not supplied by the company, some will be night on the town (dinner and movie for two), and I also like the idea of gift cards. Of course the big prize will be paying for convention. This way they can each have their own goals. They will be able to turn in their points once a month during the first week of the month (that way I am not processing requests all month long).

To help get them motivated to take part of this point plan, I will ask them all to tell me what it is they would be working for. I believe it's easier when we have shared our goals and intentions with others. When we actually share it with someone else we have to think the whole process through and it becomes a complete plan.

Anyway, that's my plan this year. Hope this is has helped give you ideas.
