I just became a consultant I havent even done my first spa yet. I signed up under the 99 deal but I still have to put a little money into my "spa gear' such as towels foot basins a thing of the mineral soak. The usual business start up supplies that I need. A family member of mine says that Im a sucker and that its a pyramid scheme and gets mad when I mention anything I want to do involving BC. Anyone else have this problem starting out? I am so motivated to make this work but then I start to worry about if I fail what they will say. Any suggestions?

Dont let them get the best of you.

I never really got the pyramid
thing-- I mean in any company.... the guy at the top makes more, no? ... and
he can only get his raises if the people below him (or her) work hard
for the company making them successful... and then they can move up too... and so on.

Anyway- Ive found BC to be a great company with great potential... and
when they see you work your way up, they'll change their tune... just
stay focused :)

Cgilmour, I know exacty what you mean. My mom said the exact same thing. BeautiControl is so FAR different than any pyramid scheme! Check out this website. It has really helped me show those negative individuals around mewhat the differences are:
www.butterflyresults.com (http://www.butterflyresults.com)

I have been a part of BeautiControl for the last year and a half and I can tell you from experience that anyone can be successful if the are determined to succeed! All you can do is your best and just push away the negative thoughts and opinions.

Welcome to the boards. This is a great place to help you stay motivated, focused and determined! I am fortunate to be a part of a very active unit. We have three ladies now, all of whom I am personally friends with, that drive that sexy mustang! I was there when they all received them. They are also all earning $5000 to $8000 a month. Yes, it takes work. No, it doesn't happen overnight. But I heard someone say that if it were easy, everybody would be doing it.

My advise to you...SPA, SPA, SPA,,,,then keep SPAING. The 2+2+2 really works! Your spas are where you will sell your product, and book more spas, and recruit. We have the best experience out there for in home parties! Just keep believing in yourself! And good luck!

My best advice-shut your ears. I've learned there will always be negative people. Some are jealous. Some really are looking out for you. But none of them know first hand what BC can do for you. Just move forward. If you're concerned about additional expenses, start slow. Most of us don't do foot tubs anymore.Grab your bag and spa a few friends. For ideas, Watch the video on BeautiNet that only uses your kit. A simple hand massage and relaxing music is a spa. As you make money, you can invest money. We are NOT a pyramid scheme. As we grow, we still spa. Even the big-wigs still spa. I've heard that Gary Jones spas! Good luck and good spa-ing. Mary in Omaha

Pyramids are illegal and we are not a pyramid.I believe I have read where Pyramids are when the recruiter keeps recruiting to get "paid" the more they recruit they get more money wheither they work or not. In Beauticontrol the consultant has to keep working before they see any of the money from their recruits-so we are not a pyramid.

Istill have my dad telling me it is a scam and I can not do anything beneficial with this but guess what I am and will be successful. When I came home and showed my family the sales i had made at a craft show last week I think he starte to rethink what he was saying. THe way I see it MOST WOMEN ENJOY PAMPERING THEMSELVES,MOST WEAR MAKEUP OR AT LEAST HAVE A SKIN CARE PROGRAM SOOOOOOOOO why not introduce them to the best and build your business that way.
You will do fine
GOOD LUCK AND GOD BLESS
