My sister in law just joined up. She says she has no desire to do any sales and is determined to make this work for her. She is recruiting my brother and presented the opportunity to me. Her goal is to just offer the opportunity to as many people as possible. She is convinced that this is all she has to do and she is very determined. She is a smart business woman who owns several apartments buildings and strip malls. So I do trust her judgement. But I am wondering if what she says is true. She thinks this is just too good to pass up. Is she right? Can she move up just by signing up people? Is this one way to move up? I have been to the website but don't quite understand. I am intrigued but I have just started a children's tea party business a few months ago on top of being a full time Kindergarten teacher so I am not sure I have the time. How realistic is all this "Moving up " stuff?

It sounds like she is doing the "let's go shopping" method. Which basically she is looking for a network of consumers who re-direct money they are already spending on other brands to Arbonne by opening their own account. And actually, it's hard to move up without signing people. There's no way to get the volume required to advanceif it's just you doing all the work with no active team members in your downline. Cassandra is right! Sounds like that's the method she's using or possibly the REsults method. Which is pretty much the same thing.

But lest people thing this is some kind of p scheme I want tostress that she has to be moving product or it won't matter how many people she sponsors. And she cannot force people to sign up with a certain amount of volume either. If they want to sign up with just the $29 starter fee they can.

So while she isn't selling in the traditional sense she is going to need to show people why they would want to "switch stores" & start shopping with Arbonne rather than what they are already buying. She is going to have to talk about products & let people know all the things we have to offer if she wants to truly be successful. You can't just sign one person up after another & expect to have a healthy successline. So while you need to duplicate yourself by sponsoring to really move up & make residual income that is not ALL you have to do.

Make sense?

Just my thought...I think that she may want this the "easy" way. Arbonne is not about signing up people. That's not necessarily how you move up because like Soonergirl said, you need volume and she can't force people to sign up for a certain amount of volume.

Product should be moving. I don't consider myself a "sales person", I am sharing what I believe are great products with people I know. Those who want to be a business builder do so because they believe in the products and in the opportunity.

There is a lot of room for growth. Arbonne rewards its consultants big. However, we need to uphold the integrity of Arbonne by allowing others to see that our company has great products that are pure, safe, and beneficial to all consumers. You are not going to get people to sign up if you can't testify about the products (actually you can, so I guess I'll eat that).

If you read all of the Eye on Arbonne stories, you see how the products have impacted upon their lives in some way or another. It may not be all of them, but that is fine.

One other thing, just signing up does not guarantee you success. You have to do a personal retail volume of $100 each month in order to get a commission check monthly. So don't think you can sign up and then just wait for the pennies to fall.

My upline encourages everyone to signup for their minimum ($100 RV) on autoship at time of initial order. The goal is to get four to "go shopping" we help them place their orders to arbonize their homes & sign up for autoship, then help them get their four & so on. That way - the minimum orders are in place so no one forgets & doesn't get a check. This sounds like what she is planning on doing & the numbers do seem good!

Yes, Arbonnebev. That sounds like exactly what she is doing. She did mention to me that $100 monthly thing and she has already placed an order. She is planning on signing up her 4 or 5 I think she said. She already has 2 signed up(my brother and her accountant) But she mentioned something that she said was a something new coming up. Please dont quote me as I did not remember exactly what she said. but she mentioned something about a $600 order for each of the persons she signs ( actually less because of the 35% off) Do you all know what she is talking about?

She's talking about their initial order to "arbonize" their homes, get a good sampling of the products & perhaps an re9 set or two to use as "pups". The numbers work - get your 4 or 5 with the initial order & sign them up for the $100 (retail) min each month. These are products that they are already using in their homes - supplements, shampoo, skin care, cosmetics, etc. This is the "let's go shopping" aspect. That way - her customers can enjoy wonderful products - at a discount - and set herself up to earn a substantial income in a few months by showing others how to do the same. They are re-directing dollars they are already spending anyway on products they need! I'm very excited about it!
