I am officially back in the swing of it! After a lull of several months ("life" has taken a front seat for me since mid-June), I had my first party in what seems like forever.
It was a b-day party for an 8 year old girl with 9 children total and my party total was just shy of $300!!
And mom wants to do a party for her friendsand said she will be ordering a home scents kit off of my site.
I also have another b-day party scheduled for the 21st with an anticipated total of over $200.
Woohoo! It feels GREAT to be back! http://www.wahm.com/forum/smileys/smiley2.gif

You rock the bday parties! Love it! What did they buy? Lotions for the girls or more stuff?

This is what I offered... she let the kids choose either a perfume sprayOR a body lotion/bubble bath combo. Then the birthday girl got a 3-product party special and mom got a lotion for her younger daughter.
I should also point out that this was my first time with boys (two 8 year olds) and they really got into it and did not even seem phased for one second that it might be only a "girly" thing.

I'm with you Kelsey--finally, some parties. Aren't they just as fun as you remember?!
I recently did a birthday party for a 21 yr old. It was very nice--they played relaxing musichttp://www.wahm.com/forum/smileys/smiley1.gifand it was a very relaxing and fun time! The mom throwing this party gave each guest a $10 voucher to use toward anything they wanted, so she then paid me $10 times the number guests and I collected the remainder from each guest.

What was funny is that the mom was asking guests if they remembered to bring their voucher?! Like they really needed it! That mom must be one of those by-the-book rule-followers! LOL! Note: She did end up covering the $10 even if they had forgotten to bring it.http://www.wahm.com/forum/smileys/smiley1.gif
