I need some input and fresh eyes..

1) Is it inviting enough, to draw you in to read on?

2) Does the high tech look put you off?

3) How is it on the eyes?

Suggestions welcome!

Actually I like the site, about the only thing I would even think about changing is the black background. To me it is a negative color that does put some people off.

You need to look at the code for the right side for the portfolio images, it looks like it broke the template as there is a narrow white verticle bar to the left of the title. Looks like about 10 pixels wide.

Overall though a nice site.

Thanks, fixed it... Actually the right hand side is a diagonal line
design of light and dark sahes of blusih purple, but ti depends on your
contrast settings.

I'm not a webdesigner or programmer, but if you're looking for feedback.. here's my 2 cents worth. smileys/smiley1.gif

I like the layout and the hi-tech look. There does seem to be too much contrast between the dark background and the stark white.. maybe if you made the white a very, verylight gray?? Also, some of the fontlooks a little small. Love the tri-color logo!

Viewed in IE on a 17 inch monitor.

Awesome! I too am a web designer and I am really impressed!!! I really like the design and the colors are bold yet inviting. The layout is clean and offers just enough information to make your readers go forward. I am really at a loss for words! You are very talented and I think your definetly in the RIGHT business!!!!! Good job!!!

I also think your site is beautiful, but I do agree that your logo at the top is hard to decipher. I can get 'web' out of it and that's pretty much it, except for I already knew what it said. smileys/smiley4.gif

Okay I'll think on it, but to be fair it's only
JCSWebDev :) But branding is important. At least it's not a
browser issue..

Are we allowed to post special offers etc, here? I was gonnaq offer members here a reduced rate on a site design.

Hi hun,

great look on the site. I really like the color contrast. My main
suggestion would be with the text that is off to the right in your
upper right title bar sort of area there "Creativity, Imagination,
Inspiration", the part of text that is overlapping the highlight area
on the sphere, is very difficult to read, and for some reason my eyes
keep going to it, so maybe if you could darken the dropshadow on that
text so it is more visible in contrast, or scooch it to the left a
little. And the other thing is, I am sure you can make your favicon.ico
much prettier, even mirroring those little glowing orange spheres on
the right top there, because the orange circle doesn't do a whole lot
for you. I am using Firefox so the Favicon.ico just sits up there in
the top URL bar and it could do a whole lot more for you if it was
pretty :) Terrific job though :)

What sort of editing software are you using? Because I am seeing these

<img src="/images/header-1-new.png" width="350" height="75" border="0" alt="Web Development and Site Renovation by JCSWebDev.com" title="Web Development and Site Renovation by JCSWebDev.com" />

<br />

in your code and wondering what the deal with space and then the slash is?

Firefox doesn't seem to have a problem displaying it properly, but it might be something to look at, since you never know how newer, older or future browsers might react.

The /> is to make it more xhtml compatible. I'm slowly converting
the page to it. You will also see that ending in my <br 's

As for software used, I hand code :)

You learn something new everyday! For some reason I was thinking <br> needed to be closed like <br></br> to be xhtml compliant, but there are two ways. I wonder if there is any difference in browser compatibility between the two?

Incidentally I do like that font for the title :) It's techy and fits the feel of the site quite nicely.
