Have any of you ladies done a Craft Show? If so, can you tell me more about it!

Did you have a inventory there on the spot, or did you have people smell your samples and then placing a order? Was it worth it? Did they ask you a lot about the company?

Thanks

Hi! I have my first one on 11/19 and very excited about it. It's at aschool gym.

Will let you know how it goes. I will have inventory on hand and also take orders at the show.

I've done quite a few and have 4 more coming up. You should always have inventory because people want to purchase on the spot. You can take orders but I have not had anyone ask to do that. I usually have 3 cases with me a few of the other products. They're a lot of fun to do and a great way to get leads. Make sure you have some kind of drawing so they need to fill out a paper with information.

For craft fairs - people don't usually know you and may not trust you enough to order. Most people want their product right away.I have never had an "order" from a craft fair or booth except from a repeat customer. If I don't have something I suggest something similar and usually still get the sale.

If you can swing it, bring inventory (borrow some from someone close by if you must). If you don't have much inventory then bring lots of brochures with scent samples stapled to them and hand them out. Have a free candle drawing. This way you may not get orders but you will get your leads. Votives have been going better than the jars. And votive flowers aredefinately a hit - craft fair people lovecreativity.

I had tons of people come back and buy later on in the day - in fact most of my sales were people who came to look and smell first and then came back an hour later. I don't know if they were hitting the ATMs or were just waiting til they saw all the booths before buying anything. It was fun - I think they were hooked.
