First off, I just want to say thank you for all of the great information you ladies share! I love reading the posts (and the wahm spa girls site)for ideas and inspiration. Alright, so I had a small kick off party at my house a few weeks ago, and I already have 1 recruit. Woohoo! I also booked a party, which will be held tomorrow.I guess I am juststarting to feel nervous, so I was hoping for any words of wisdom, advice, etc.
I love BeautiControl andI really want to reach VIP so I can attend leadership in a few months. Iam32 weeks pregnant right now as well, so lots of exciting things going on for me! http://www.wahm.com/forum/smileys/smiley4.gif

Thanks in advance for any input!

I like to watch the videos on BN of the Anne Cannon, Sara Lynn Ostwinkle and Angie Barret before I do spas. They INSPIRE me and I get all psyched up!

Try to relax before hand, spa yourself! Don't worry, just spa the girls and they will fall in love with the products just like we all did! Our products are great and they speak for themselves for the most part. Do a fun little give away, everyone those free stuff! I have a list of things that I have collected from this site. If you need some ideas just let me know!

Good Luck and don't worry you will be great!

Thanks for the words Sara and Teresa! I haven't checked out the videos on BN yet, so I will do that tonight after my husband gets home. And I definitely plan on spa'ing myself first. It's been a looong week, and I already need it!http://www.wahm.com/forum/smileys/smiley2.gif

Also, I just realized that the holiday stuff should be coming out soon. Would it be foolish of me to offer each of the ladies at the spa a small discount (say 10%, for example) off the new holiday line? I will make sure they all have my webpage (& email) address, so they could check it out there and email me their wishlist.

Offer them a discount or a mini to take home if they book a spa! The products are worth paying full price for.

I would probably wait to tell them after they order. When they place their order give them a coupon for 10% off their next order or say specifically the holiday lines, which ever you want to do and don't forget to put an expiration date on their. I think that if you spell out a dollar amount off though it helps more. You could say save $5 off your next order of $50 or something like that. It makes it sound a little more enticing. Also have the ladies create a wish list and get their husbands' phone numbers so you can call them to let them know what their wife/girlfriend wants for Christmas! Just a few ideas.

I know I am new, and not "official yet" but my opinion... From what my "possibel manager" told me, it is a good idea to put a small thank you in the order with a coupon for 10% off of the next order. That would make me want to order again. She also has a special card she uses that is used on a specific Saturday and all day they can reorder for 20% off. She gives them this magnet that looks like a business card, and they put it on the fridge to reorder, I think she called it Super Saturday Sale. Am I right that the reorder business can be huge each month?

Reorders can be huge especially they more clients you have especially when they are skincare clients!

I love your ideas! I am waiting on more minis (I have a few already bagged up as hostess gifts for booking), they should be en route. And I really like having them create a wishlist for the husbands - I know my hubby would appreciate the help!

I always use minis at the spa as hostess gifts. I put them in a basket along with a makeup brush kit and a pedicure kit and I tell them they get to take one home with them if they book a date before they leave. I do tell them the date is NOT in stone but that I expect to get a firm date within 48 hours. This creates an unwritten "contract" between you and that hostess. She more than likely will honor her obligation since you have given her a gift. Just get that hostess coaching scheduled within a week. Relationship is the name of the game.

My best advice is to keep it simple & have fun! Honestly! If you're having fun everyone there will too.

Well, I just thought I would update everyone since my internet is finally working again! The hostess called two hours before I was to arrive to cancel, it seems several of her guests had a stomach bug. I was a little down about it, but I decided to take my lemons and make lemonade. I went to my MIL's house and shared my BC goodies, and she is interested in the skincare and makeup! The ladies at my mom's church are hosting a baby shower for me this month, so I will be travelling outof town for that. My mom is going to schedule a spa open house while I am there, since they just did a big remodel at her house- yay! Then I was talking to a dear friend of mine yesterday, and she wants to host a bridal shower spa in honor of her soon-to-be new sister in law. I feel like things are really working out, and I now have three spas in the works!I should be a busy spa girl between now and my due date. http://www.wahm.com/forum/smileys/smiley36.gif

One of my Bestest Spa girlfriends started her spa business at like 7 months pregnant. She had a blast & is still loving it. Great outlook on what to do when you get lemons. I usually make margaritas but lemonade will work when pregnant. Congrats on the 3 spas keep us posted & let us know all the wonderful things that happened!

I have the pedicure set you can get from BC, or could a few months back. They were only $5 when I ordered. It has slip on house shoes, apumice block and brush and a toe separator and a few other things. It's very cute.
