View Full Version : Questions about CB

Hi there! I'm thinking about joining Country Bunny...

I'm a SAHM who homeschools and has 5 children. I know I want to start a business, but just don't know which one to start! I'm looking at Beauticontrol, Arbonne, Mia Bella, White Lily, Watkins, Country Bunny, and Discovery. I want to really like what I'm selling, but also have to be able to genuinely make a profit.

Could you tell me what your favorite thing about CB is?

Also, is there a yearly membership fee?

Do they guarantee their products?

What are the shipping rates for Alaska?

Is the company debt free?

What do they make in annual sales?

Is there a non-compete clause? That is, could I sell CB AND something else?

Thanks in advance for your help!

Amy

Hello Amy!

Here's some down 'n dirty answers to your
questions. I can go into more detail if you'd like via
email.

Favorite thing about CB:
NO PRESSURE! I make my business what I want it
to be. With 3 kids, I have some times where I can't
commit to my business 100% and that's ok. I
promoted twice within 4 months doing it my way and
it's worked out VERY well. I also love that the
products are SAFE.... and we never test on animals.

Membership fee: None. Just the one time fee of $89
for your rep kit which contains over $500 worth of full
sized products, training materials, samples, rep
tools, etc.

Do they guarantee their products:
If you or your customer gets a product that isn't 100%
perfect, they will replace the item and ship it for free. I
have never had a problem getting anything
replaced... and they're FAST at it too!

Shipping rates for Alaska: Someone correct me if I'm
wrong... but I think they're the same as for anywhere
else in the USA... we just can't sell outside the U.S...
yet.

Is the company debt free: I'm not sure I understand
this question.... is ANY company or individual debt
free? If you're asking if the company is financially
solid, then YES we are!

Annual sales: I'm sure this changes yearly.... and
only increases because our number of new bunnies
increases daily!

Is there a non-compete clause?* That is, could I sell
CB AND something else? You can... but once you
get into the management positions they want you to
be doing CB only.... and there's a Bunny Builder
program that will toss you free leads that the hutch
receives if you are doing CB solely.

Hope that helps! Let me know if you need some
more information and/or samples. I'm happy to help.

The shipping rates to Alaska, Hawaiiand Puerto Rico are as follows...

0-$59.00- $8

$51-$100.99 - 20% of product total

$101-$200.99 - 17% of product total

$201-$300.99 - 15% of product total

$301 and up 10% of total

Rep kit $27

These orders are shipped via UPS or DHL, therefore a physical address is required. PO boxes are not allowed.

Hope that helps!

About the shipping...Where I live, in rural Alaska, the UPS costs are quite high. Ups actually contracts out to a service called "Papa-do-Run". Is there any way to double check about the method of shipping? Most of the time I find that companies that I've ordered through want to ship USPS to my PO box rather than pay the high UPS shipping.

Thanks Andi and Traci for all the information!

Hi Amy smileys/smiley4.gif

Traci is right... I double checked and that's the info I
have on shipping to your area as well. I didn't have
that info handy yesterday... I knew someone would
jump in if I was incorrect.

CB doesn't ship via USPS... just the ways stated.
When I read the name of the contracted service that
you mentioned, I thought it sounded like a delivery
service by dog sled! smileys/smiley36.gifIt just struck me funny.

Let me know when you're ready for me to send you a
packet of information. I'll include the shipping chart
for Alaska as well.

Have a great holiday weekend!

Your Welcome.

I just chatted with one of my bunnies that was in Hawaii about the high cost of shipping to you all. Erin said that it is shipped second day air via UPS that is why the shipping is so high. She also said that she never tried to get them to ship via USPS so she was not sure about that.

I do know that the preferred method of shipping for the company on the mainland is UPS/FedEx. There have been times when something is on back order that it has been mailed via USPS but that does not happen very often.Edited by: Traci

I love the products! I don't work my business all too much, but I do love the products for myself and my family. My favorite is the Body Butter. Even my hubby uses the Costal Blue Body Butter. lol My son loves all the kids line too. Just some reasons I love Country Bunny.

I just really like being able to work the hours I want to!

That and CB is not over saturated. Meaning that we don't have a gazillion representatives in each state. So the market is wide open--that has helped me a lot.

I used to be a rep for a different company that had 73000 reps and it was SO hard to find new customers! CB has 6500 reps now....a lot, but not enough to be competing with one another for new customers.

Andi has a large team of people I think and really has a lot of experience with the company. If you do sign, I know she would really help you get going.smileys/smiley2.gif

Here is another question for you all...I am totally new to all this type of business in which you sign up under people. My question is...

Is there a rule of thumb for who you sign up under? Or is it totally up to the person signing up? You have all been so nice and helpful! Thanks for suffering through all my questions!

Amy,

You can sign up under anyone you want to.
A rule of thumb for message boards for reps to follow is that whoever first replied to the person wanting more information is who we assume the person seeking to sign up will sign with...so the rest of us won't try to "recruit" you, as someone else has already talked to you about the opportunity. Thats just an online ettiquete (I know I totally butchered that spellingsmileys/smiley9.gif) thing we try to adhere to.

But it is totally up to YOU. If YOU want to talk to someone else about the opportunity, feel free to do so. But the rest of us reps won't approach you about it so unless you contact one of us first.

Did that make sense??

... also wanted to mention that we offer a great
fundraising program where the organization earns
50% of the sales. It's a great way to help other
people!

Take care.... let me know if we can help you more.

Amy~

You can sign up under anyone. While, many do sign with the first person that they have been in contact with, others "consultant shop" for the person that they connect with the most. You can choose who your sponsor will be.

You can take comfort in knowing that no matter whoyou sign upwith we are all a great big happy family and will help you no matter what. That is why we are here. We are all sisters in business.

Have a great week!
