Here's the scenario:
Downline District Manager promotes to Area Manager, while Upline Executive DM remains the same.
(1) Does the EDM drop to DM?
(2) Does the EDM still collect overrides on the AM volume?
(3) Does the EDM get a Permanent Pick-up Credit for promoting an AM?

I know this situation quite well as I have 2 promoted AMs direct to me, and 1 RVP with an RVP promoted out(& possibly 3 more RVPs before the end of this year!) below them!!!
To answer your questions....
1) You remain an EDM.
2) You'll collect overrides on the AMs Central District. If she has promoted out DMs, they are considered YOUR 2nd Generation DMs. (However, it's possible her "Central District" maybe her entire Area)
3) Yes, you'll be able to count $2.5K permanent pick-up credit when YOU are qualifying for AM. (This is kinda why you kinda want to "be the leader of the pack"....you can count $10K over YOUR qualification period to AM from your promoted DMs....but can count only $2.5K if they've promoted to AM before you (for a total of $7.5K)
Does this make sense??

Itwas tough hearing Rita Davenport ask me (at my 1st RVPs car presentation) "What are you waiting for. Do you know how much money you're leaving on the table each month?!?! Do I need to kick your behind up between your ears!!!"
It was quite motivating!
In fact, my 1st RVP is really close to starting qualfication for NVP.
Talk about a reason to NEVER GIVE UP!!! (Plus, hubby wouldn't allow me to quit with all that in place.)

Yes, I can imagine that would be quite motivating. Every time you got discouraged & wanted to quit those words would ring in your ears.
Plus, wow...if all those people were able to get there then you KNOW you will. Just a matter of when not if & thinking of the (literal) pot of gold waiting for you when you do is enough to make anyone do just about anything, lol.
