Is it my understanding that if I were a distributor and I had a
customer who wanted to buy one lemon pound cake jar candle,
I as the distributor would have to purchase a whole case?

FYI...Margey is correct that you would have to buy a whole case, however, what I have done (and I'm sure many others have done as well) is try to establish a relationship with others in your area. When I have a need for a candle I don't currently have in stock, I check with others to see if they might have it. We also try to combine orders if we don't have the need for a full case. It's a great way to build relationships with local reps as well as save money!

Hi Susan:

That is basically correct, but like the others said, you can get it from other distributors, even if they aren't local. You can go to your sponsor and see if they have it and can give you one, or there are lots of great people on several different message boards that would be able to help.

Hello Susan,

Yes, at this time it is true that you'd have to purchase 12 jars even if you only needed one. Mia Bella gives us a true 50% off retail wholesale discount on jars and votives. In exchange for that deep discount they do require case quanity purchases of either 12 jars (mix and match) or 36votives (3 fragrances per 36 aka 1 fragrance per dozen) Please note there is a 36 votive minimum, however you can get 48,60 etc..You do not have to do 72, 108 etc..

The wholesale pricing we receive enables us a generous profit of up to $9 or more per jar and up to $1 or more per votive.

What I often share with those asking the same question is this, if you sell one candle - make it your goal to sell 5 more as 6 jars at retail = a whole case! This way you'd have 6 sold jars + 6 more on the way to stock your inventory!

Over 80% of the US population uses scented candles, they are a consumable product - so once used people are looking for more! Find those people and you'll have no problem meeting case quantities!

Let me know any questions, I'd be pleased to assist you!

Ditto what everyone else has said. I always turn to my fellow reps first esp if I sell only 1 candle. Everyone that I have run into so far has been more than helpful, and once you become a distributor you will really see the kind of support this company offers! smileys/smiley36.gif

Its awesome, all the training calls, the fall fling this weekend (man I wish i was going) to local training sessions at times. If you have any more questions please let us know, thats why we are here.

Alethea, I didn't know that there was a minimum on votives. I bought only two dozen votives in an order recently and everything went the same price-wise and such. Hmmm...

Yeah, I bought two dozen votives as well - no problem...

OHHH! Well that is good to know! My previous upline (who was silly and left the company) told me that before I joined over a year ago! I guess I never thought to ask!

I usually take advantage of the great buy 10 get 2 free specials for boxes of votives!

Well, I wouldn't call your upline silly. When I started 3 yrs ago..you HAD to buy 3 cases at a time. Period. I had no idea that they changed it....wonder why there wasn't an announcement sent out about it? I still assumed that you had to order in 3's. However, I'm glad to hear you don't anymore.http://www.wahm.com/forum/smileys/smiley2.gif
