I just wanted to share! Maybe I can even help inspire some.
These past two months have been difficult, but only because of my own doing.
You see, I am the world's WORST procrastinator!!! I didn't book any spas for August or September before leadership, and I know better.
Anyway...I procrastinated all the way through August, and then we got in a financial bind.
So, the long and the short of it is this:
I sent my little one to mom's for 3 days, and worked all morning while my oldest was in preschool. Here are the results:
I have a spa with 24 girls coming this Saturday.
I booked a Teacher Appreciation Spa for October (50 or more teachers)
I booked a Stay-at-home mom's spa for October.
I booked a Client Appreciation Spa for a salon in October
I have an appointment to talk to the manager of my local Walmart tomorrowfor an employee appreciation spa.
and the icing on the cake....
I booked a booth at a health and wellness fair for a local company and they will have more than 1000 in attendance! I'm just going to do the SOH and ER and book spas, but WOW!!
So, the moral of the story is...if I may be so blunt....
Get off your butts, get on the phone, get out and talk to the neigbors, and book some spas!!! I did, and BOY am I a HAPPY CAMPER!!!!!!!
These words of advice are from a self-proclaimed procrastinator, and if I can do it so can you!
I love you girls. I love the support you provide, and I hope this inspires at least one of you to get out there and go for it!!!
Oh, I also dropped off a travelling spa basket at my daughter's school, and the teachers are fighting over who gets to take it home next!!!!
I have to go book some more spas!! See you soon!

That is great! I have needed some advice and that's why I came on here. We are barely holding on financially, and when I mean barely holding on, I mean our car was repossessed, our cupboards are empty, no bills are paid, etc.smileys/smiley5.gif I have wanted to do spas for SO long but every time I tried to get a spa, I was denied, so after a while I felt so deflated. I did the worst thing ever and gave up for a while and now I'm HUGELY regretting it. Not only do we need the money, I need the fun! I need a night away from the kids and some "girl time" ya know! Thanks for the inspiration.
Quick question... how did you find out about the health and wellness fair? I try to google it for my area and find some weird stuff but no health and wellness fairs. Do you just have an insider or something? smileys/smiley36.gif

Talk to some of theHR MGRS at dfferent businesses. THey could let you know and if you offer it as a BENEFIT of working for the company then you might get work pas that way. Who would not want to wor for a companythat has someone come in every 90 days to paer us and allow (remind) me to reorder what I am gettin low on. GOOD LUCK to You and your family. THe other thing that I can recommend has nothing to do with BC but the angel food ministries are great anyone can go to them and order a food package it is always posted on the website, for only $25.00 I beleve. It is a great program and I have gtten Bnquet and Marie Calenders food from there and it sure helps when I an feed the kids for 2 weeks on just $25.00

Thanks Sharada. I've been depending on good old mom and dad to put money in my account for groceries. LOL! I *hate* it. Especially when we went from the top of the payscale to the bottom. And what's crazy is my boyfriend makes way over minimum wage and somehow it still isn't enough. GO FIGURE. I'll go check it out! Thanks!

REMEMBER GOD hass a hand in everything and as my mom always tells me what doesn't kill us makes us stronger. I always remember this because I was at one time a WELFARE MOM. Just get out there and SHARE SHARE SHARE and GOD will bring yo closer to your goals. Rightnow we woud be on the streets if it were not for my folks renting the entire UPSTAIRS of their house to us and the biggest expectatio is I am to be a mom and be there for my kids and that means I do ALL meals. But I love that because I love to cook. It will work out you will be in y prayers.

Thanks Sharada. Somehow God has always kept us afloat. We always thought "it couldn't get any worse than this" and it always did and then we always managed. Rather, God managed for us! I know that BC was a blessing and an opportunity brought into my life that I can't give up on. There are people in the world that have it a lot worse than I do. Actually, something comes to mind that might inspire others so I'll share it...
The other day my mom was at work and saw this man and daughter walking to a restaurant next to her bank. The father was bald, but young, laughing and smiling, arm in arm with his daughter. My mom looked down at the little girl, probably around 9 or 10 years old, and she was laughing and smiling with him. What struck my mom was the fact that the little girl was bald too. She had a strange apparatus around her body helping her to walk, along with the support of her father's arm. She said they were laughing and teasing each other just like any "normal" father and daughter would. The difference was this girls life was not so "normal". We have so many trials and tribulations in life and think it will never end, never get better, etc. The truth is, it always changes. Our problems are temporary and always changing, and for this little girl, that wasn't true. She was terminally ill and probably in a lot of pain, yet she smiled and laughed. We have the chance to make a difference and she doesn't. She never will...
That made me feel so small. How dare I think my stress is beyond what I can handle and "it's never gonna get better" and then think of BC and think "I just can't do it!"
Doctors probably told that girl she couldn't walk again and look at her, finding a way to walk.
It's all about not giving up and remaining determined, ignoring what other people may say that could hinder your accomplishments.
Hope that helped someone... I know it brought a lot to my attention. Even writing it just now I got all teary eyed and remembered how temporary my situations really are!

WOW!! I just wanted to add, that you can get some practical information at www.workathomeprofitzone.com (http://www.workathomeprofitzone.com)
It's free to sign up, and there is an archive of about 30 free calls that are SO inspirational, you can't help but want to make this work.
Here's what I'm doing tomorrow. I don't have any spas until Saturday and need money now! I am going to my neighbors and others with my HS SOH and the new Cookie Dough SOH, and I am going to tell them that I am trying to raise money for a youth building for our church, which is true. (we have a major problem with irresponsible and destructive kids in our community). Since we just got the SOH for half price, and still can, I'm going to keep 50% for me and give the rest to my church. I am going to bust my butt to sell as many as I possibly can. Some I'll be able to deliver right away, because I already have a bunch, and some will have to wait a week or so, but it's worth a shot to get the word out. And, anyone who purchases will get a coupon for a free spa Escape!
What are you going to do this week to grow your business?

Sara,
I did have help with the Health and Wellness fair. Actually, it was a friend who had scheduled a spa with me and cancelled. She talked to her HR director and got an appointment for me. I did a fair there last October, and was following up since I remembered her saying they did this kind of thing once a year. This event won't be until February, but what a wait it will be!!!
