I have yet to find a way to use the internet for my benefit in my Arbonne business, other than having my own page through their website.
Does anyone know of any way I can use the net without going against their proceedures and policies ??
I know of some people who are Avon reps and apparently, according to the book, I cannot talk to them about Arbonne.
I am in need of some wisdom here !!!smileys/smiley5.gif

Hi Anet,
Page 18, section 3.7 in the Arbonne now 2005 policies and proceedures manual states:
"Targeting Representatives of other direct sales companies prohibited: It is against Arbonne policy to specifically and consciously target members of the sales force of another direct sales company to sell or work for Arbonne".....

I read that to mean you cannot specifically target certain folks solely because they are reps of XYZ company. If you happen to know someone & they happen to sell XYZ, it is a different story. You could always email corporate for clarification. These days it seems that everyone knows someone who is selling something. Edited by: Kiana's Mom

I guess I don't see talking and "targeting" as the same thing. I did a show this weekend and in the crowd was:
1 Discovery Toys consultant,
1 Mary Kay consultant
1 Creative Memories consultant and
1 Shaklee wholesale buyer.
Should I have told them to leave? I didn't even know the ones didMK and Shaklee person until afterwards. The hostess didn't know, either. In fact the MK girl emailed me the next day and told me she was a MK girl and my presentation was eye opening and she wants to book a class and learn more about the business.
I go to other people's home parties all the time, I think it is a great way to support friends. They always mention the business opportunity just like we do. My VP used to be with MK and she has a knack with sharing with them why Arbonne is better. But it is not like she seeks them out, it is the nature of the game that we meet or know other people who do other home based things...right? Don't they deserve to hear about the business opportunity as well? I have a person on my team who was doing another direct sales thing with no luck and she is now doing arbonne and doing well...I didn't target her, just shared...

I don't see why it should be a problem. I actually thought that introducing arbonne to people who already are interested in direct selling would appreciate learning more ways to make more money.
Perhaps asking them to go into more detail on this one would be a good idea.
Do you guys have any ideas for using the net ?
Today I made a flyer to hang up at the pediatrician's office. Basically, inviting people to "Join Our Team" of Independent Consultants with little tabs at the bottom with my info on it. I was sure to leave Arbonne's name out of it because they don't want their name used on anything that they didn't create themselves. I figure pediatrician offices are a good place to reach new moms that may want to stay home with their babies and make some extra money.
Anyone do this with any luck ?

They are talking about trying to recruit reps from other companies. Give us a bad rep. Take this for example: I did a women's expo earlier this month and a guy from Market America came to our booth and tried to recruit me! The nerve!smileys/smiley5.gif

Like Cassandra said. I think the key word is targeting. Making it your goal to persuade other direct sales people to join Arbonne. I have a friend who is a MK consultant. I mentioned I was doing Arbonne several months back and wished her luck in her business. We talked last week and she started asking me questions about Arbonne. So of course, I shared the great potential w/ her. This is not targeting. When someone approaches your display table as you sit there w/ a huge Arbonne banner above your head, and they try to talk you into their company, that is targeting. smileys/smiley5.gifWe have a great company to work for and we don't need to target! Sooner or later, they will come to us asking questions!smileys/smiley17.gif
As far as your question Sunset, I don't know of many ways to advertise using the net w/o going against policy. I did place an ad in the local paper just stating "Looking for reps for prestigious Swiss skincare company." I didn't get any calls, but someone else on this board did this to and she said she received calls. Hope that helps!

The only thing I can think of is to target those who are looking for a home based business or business opportunity. Everytime I get an email asking if I'm interested in learning how to make money from home, I reply with an email about Arbonne. I know you can buy lists of people who have requested info about starting a business, but I don't know how good they are (how many times they are sold, etc). My gut instinct is that this is a face to face, people business, but I don't know.
