Ok, I am pregnant and due in 27 days:-)
I have 3 more personal parties booked, a team meeting with a member of the corporate staff attending, and a launch party to conduct. I had planned to cut off my parties 2 weeks before my due date, but this week I received requests from 4 women to conduct parties for them. I simply won't be able to do a couple of them since they want early December parties and my baby will only be 10 days old. So I am passing those parties to members of my team.I did actually consider one of them until I realized that I was being a little unrealisitc.
Would I be crazy to book the other 2 partiesa week from my due date? I tend to be crazy when it comes to wanting to do do do and go go go. I hate missing this busy season by handing all my parties over to my team, but I also don't want to go into labor during a party. (This is my 3rd, and my longest labor was 6 hours.)Plus my hubby isn't excited about me driving all over by myself and carrying my kit.
So what is wise? When should I stop? Should I just hand over all my other bookings? Should I do another party? Or should I just put my feet up andenjoy a few quiet evenings before baby #3 arrives?
Thanks,
Marianne:-)

I would continue as long as you feel good. Have DH come with you or have a friend come and help you. You could also tell the hostess that you are very PG and can only do book parties right now. Maybe allow them to borrow a few pieces to show and return them with the orders to you. I think most people have been there and will understand!! smileys/smiley17.gif
Good Luck! Chris

Marianne,
I was in the same boat, only I had baby #2 in Aug. I worked up until I had her (by c-section--she was breach). Just explain to your hostesses your situation, they'll understand!
I even put out a fishbowl right b-4 I went in to the hospital (I went in earlier than scheduled-Jena just couldn't wait!) and picked it up when I took her in for her 2-day appointment (they made me meet w/ a lactation consultant 2 days after we were discharged, even though feeding was going great). I had 26 names and didn't sart calling them until a week later. It took me 3 weeks to get through everyone & I just explained that "I'm sorry it took so long to get ahold of you, but I had a baby during the week that I had my drawing at "the Store". They were very understanding! I had that drawing at Buzy Kids-which is a consignment store for baby & kids clothing and stuff, maybe that's why they were so understanding! lol

Could you explain your situation to these ladies and aks if they mind doing a book show? This way you have your time, but might not lose your christmas sales.

Thanks for the replies ladies.
I do have local gals who can fill in for me. For the next 3 parties that I have booked I have someone who can pinch hit for me. It is just these new parties that I am wondering about.
Thanks,
Marianne Hanson
