Hi all, I'm putting together a holiday home party bazaar, but I'm
not sure how to go about getting vendors. I'd rather not pay for
an ad in the local paper (I live in southern Indiana) but I've looked
at the library and the craft stores and haven't found anyplace to post
a flyer. We've got Mary Kay, Pampered Chef, Soy candles, Jewelry,
Longaberger baskets, and Fantasy Inc. (that's me!smileys/smiley36.gif ). We are going to pay for ads for the show, and can send press releases. Any ideas?

LOL, well I am also trying to do the same thing. I have about 5 vendors including myself right now. I need more! I have posted in bus discussion. If you live in the north alabama area/Huntsville and want to participate let me know. I am only looking for 1 rep per company. I have Mia Bella, Pampered Chef, Avon/Mark and 2 home crafters.
There will be a small fee to cover advertising and rental.

Here's a few ideas -maybe they will help
Find a Yahoo group for Direct sales for your state - then post for Vendors for your area - I belong to one of these for Missouri and there are MANY reps who are getting together and doing things like this
Do a general search for your state 2005 craft shows - it should bring up some sites where you can post an ad requesting vendors from your area
Post an ad in the events section on different forum message boards -requesting vendors for your area - I belong to ALOT of boards and see things like this often - if you need some boardlinks PM meI dont want to post other boards linkshere and get in trouble - I will get back to you after I get off from work.
Post in the State thread on message boards that you are needing reps from this state - even if some of them there are not in your area perhaps they will know of some that are

I run a group called Consultant_Finder on Yahoo. You're welcome to post there also. We have a database with 494 consultants listed and sorted by state.

YOu can also place a free ad at www.craftlister.com (http://www.craftlister.com)
If you want only direct sales people...you will need to put Direct Sales only or you will get crafters. That is where I got alot of my vendors and crafters.
