Hello!

When burned properly our votivescan last 15-20 hrs! Proper burning includes burning in a snug, straight sided votivecup. Light for 2-3 hrs, then extinguish - let harden and relight. If you burn a votive straight thru it will burn up much faster - maybe 6 hours AND is very dangerous as it can cause a flare up!

When burned properly ourjars can last 80-120 hrs or more. Proper burning includes lighting the jar for a minimum of 3 hrs. Do not extinguish before the wax pool is all the way across the surface of the jar. Jars should be extinguished when the liquid wax pool is all the way across (minimum) and approx 1/2 to 3/4" deep (maximum). At this point, extinguish, let harden and relight.

Those are the best/safest directions that I tell all my customers.

Of course trim wicks when needed!

Note: Many customers will use ball shaped votive holders, square ones, etcif not instructed on straight sided ones. This can result in a 3 hr or less burn time as our soft wax spreads to the sides of the votive cup making it more shallow and it will burn off faster! It is SUPER important about the snug/straight votive cup part!

(you may know the above already - but I thought I'd post for anyone who does not know!)

I don't burn votives, but I've let my jars burn for 4 hours at a time--actually longer some days if it'sa favorite scent. I don't burn them every day,and sometimes Imay alternate the scents/day,so it's hard to really nail it down to a total burn time.
