Hi ladies, I have a booth this coming weekend. My main goal is BOOKINGS. Can you give me some tricks of the trade when it comes to doing this kind of event. I will be doing SOH, MDA and Exteme Hand Repair Therapy. Should I offer a gift if they book a spa on the spot?
HELP!! I really need some booking for October.

Thanks!

If you do this make sure to not give them their gift until the night of the spa...I would have out samples of the invitation and also ask people about their lives to see how you can fit a spa in...ex: if they have a young baby offer a new mom's spa, pregnant offer a baby shower spa...also offer one-on-ones to those that say they don't know anyone to invite...etc HTH

If you decide to give something free away, make samples of bath minerals and attach them to your business card.

I would do a drawing for a gift...that way u will have their contact info to follow up, and you can ask about booking then. Or offer them a special the night of their spa for booking on the spot.

I also tell them if they book with methat day I will have a special gift for them the night of their spa.

I would definitely have a door prize drawing because everyone loves to win something for free! I also use coupons for on the spot bookings. $ free product the night of party. You can fill in the amount. This is on top of the free product they earn. It has worked for me in the past.

Set up the booth as an attraction that will make women stop! I have done several booths and the key is to make women curious as to what you have! Set the mood, yes it can be done anywhere.... have lots of tea lights lit, play a relaxing cd(keep the cd player under the tabel-out of sight-) if you have a fountain add it to the table, trinkling water.... candle light..... relaxing music..... Do not stand behind your booth, stand in front, have a chair for the "guest" to sit at, be sure to bring a "makeshift sink" I use a decorative water pitcher, a large decorative water basin and lots of pebbles and rocks. I have the pebbles scattered on the table and in the bottom of the basin. I let them try the SOH and rinse over the basin. I keep my basin off of the table, it is on the side on a large gold pillar that I bring with me( I steal if from my foyer!) As soon as she rinses have her pat dry with a plush towel. Then offer the warm neckwrap, again I hide a small microwave under my table and rotate 2 neckwraps. Offer Lip Apeel and a hand massage with ER. After you finish the hand massage have her remove lip apeel and apply balm. Have her shut eyes and mist with TDS Hydrating Spray. Also if you ahve a fountain, add TDS Detox to it so the smell is spa like! As they are enjoying the mist I then do the WTGTM on the inside of the arm. During the entire two minutes she is in my "Spa Chair" I am planting seeds about the spa at her house with her and her friends. I am assuming she is going to schedule a spa, I have my calender right in front of her so she can see it, I put it in her hands and explain the wonderful benefits she will receive when I arrive... such as the neckwrap, spa socks for all of the guests and of course the chance for all of her guests to try the latest advantage in antiaging Spa Treatments.... Microderm.
My main goal is to not do too much at my booth, I want her to sample only a couple of things and then desire more! And the best way to do that is to have her very own spa!
I also keep my table simple, I do not stack products on the table, I am there to book Spa's, not sell products. I want to get into their home and Spa them so i can not only sell but also recruit. My table is more of a serene set up that draws them in.
Most importantly, be confident in yourself and the products. Women love what we offer and if they see you are passionate about the products they will be more open to putting a party on your calender!

Wow Christy,

I would love to see a picture of your booth, if you have one please email it to me at spame2@yahoo.com I never thought to go that much into detail with the candles and music and such. You just gave me some ideas for a booth I will be doing at a event in October. How could anybody walk past your booth without being interested and wondering what you are offering? I love the idea!

You may want to put out a sign up sheet, I find my booth's become very popular and women have stood in line for quite awhile just to "sit in my chair"! So I have a sign up sheet, so it feels very exclusive for them!
Also, if you have a really "neat chair" bring that. I have a small zebra stool that I use it sits low so if you also want to offer a back rub with your knuckle massager you can! Some ladies who are older have trouble getting down too low, so I am on the loook out for a very cool Spa chair to take with me in the future! http://www.wahm.com/forum/smileys/smiley9.gifEdited by: Spa'in in IN

Also, use Hot Dates, if they book on a hot date they get to pick one full size product from a "special basket" I typically have deeply discounted products in this basket, but they have retailed for big bucks in the past! Lots of Lavender and Limited Edition products!
Make sure to also have hostess packet ready to go! Give them to the ladies as soon as you have a date, quickly show her what is in the packet( I swear by the hostess coupons!) Since you want to get in as many ladies as you can do not spend a lot of time doing this, but be clear that you will call her the next day to go over the packet, be prepared to pass a lot of these out(it will also save you on postage!)

No Laura, I do not have any pictures. I do think I will add this to my cd I am making for my new recruits though, this would give them an opportunity to see what I am doing!

These are all awesome ideas Christy!! I'm so glad I read this today. I'm doing a large trade show tomorrow with the Welcome Wagon program. It's a Baby Shower show for all the new Mom's and their guests. They have 150 Mom's registered plus all of their guests. I'm super excited!! http://www.wahm.com/forum/smileys/smiley4.gif
I have one of the other girls on my team doing the show with me.

I do my shows similar to you with the candles and music.....just have never gone to the extent with the chair and neck wraps. Great idea!!! http://www.wahm.com/forum/smileys/smiley32.gifWe have a pretty pitcher and basin for the SOH and the spa music.

I too give product out for bookings on the spot. I know a lot of people think that you shouldn't but honestly I believe you have to spend a bit of money to make money. We're giving away a complete mini sets for hot date bookings. They've cost us at the most $9 each and to me it's well worth the money for a booking. I know some think that they'll take the gift and run....but one of the directors out here at the meetings I go to says that if they've been given a gift....they feel more obligated to hold the spa. Who doesn't like free gifts? She gives out full size products at every spa for "hot date bookings." She's a Mustang Director also so I'm sure she's doing something right. http://www.wahm.com/forum/smileys/smiley2.gif

I'm displaying a sign with the Cabana Girl Mini, Spa Escape Mini and Skin Care Mini, letting them know they can choose one if they pick one of our hot dates on the calendar. I'd much rather be giving these away then having them sitting on my shelf because I'm not doing spas. Just my opinion.

Thanks again Christy for all your awesome ideas!! Hope to get several bookings and maybe a few more recruits. I only need 4 to Unit Manager!! http://www.wahm.com/forum/smileys/smiley4.gif
