So I was browsing on ebay tonight looking for web design software and I was bored so I typed in "Mia Bella Candle" in the search field and it brought me TONS of listings of people selling our candles on Ebay and including new scents such as Fresh Laundry, Pumpkin Cheesecake and even worse some of these people have ebay stores. I thought the company policy is that we can't sell on ebay and I thought ebay won't let people to sell Mia Bella candles online.

It's just heartbreaking for me because these people sell these candles for as low as $8 per jar. I just wondering if there's a different in policy now that allowing us to sell on ebay or ebay can't stop people from selling Mia Bella on their site? I think corporate must do something about this matter because it will be really hard for me to tell my customer that $18 per jar is a good deal, then they can just go on ebay and see other people selling it for $8.

Anyway, I just need to vent and hopefully someone from corporate will take action on this.

Unfortunately it is still company policy but I believe eBay decided they will no longer be removing the offending auctions/stores. :(

I see one lady that claims that she isn't a distributor anymore.. Does that make a difference?
Why do people get away with it??

I do remember getting an email saying the company policy is the same, but unfortunately (as Jessica said), ebay has decided not to pull auctions anymore. I think many of these people are ex-distributors trying to unload stock. You could always send the auction linksto corporate. Don't let it get to you. If you build a good relationship with your customers, they will buy from you. There are plenty of people out there who never even look at ebay, much less shop there. :)

Take care!

I agree that they're are plenty of people that dont even look at e-bay and don't forget that sometimes the shipping fees charged are outrageous.
I am also an Avon rep and we are not allowed to sell on E-bay but you see literally thousands doing it. The companies can't really spend the time and money chasing them down.
Just ignore them and run your business.
Think of it this way too:
My brother owns a wine and liquor store (yes, lucky me(;-))))lol..anyway, there is a liquor store in just about every shopping center and alot of them run sales that retail bottles for less than a dollar above cost.He doesnt compete with them. My brother chooses not to run the sales that way and he has a great business despite not "giving away" the products because He has a beautiful store, friendly service, great selection and nice ambience.
and he doesnt bother himself with what they are doing, only with what he is doing.

You will never stop a true bargain hunter person to stop going for the bargains.

Deal with the people who want to deal with you.

VERY well said, Debra! 110% agree. As another example, I'm a massage therapist. Several therapists in the area are offering 1st time massages for $39. I'm not and never will. My clients are not leaving me because of it and I don't worry about it. I'm just going about my business as usual. I hope this helps some!

smileys/smiley31.gifThank you for all your responses and I agreed with all of you. I didn't get it really bother me. I just think it's a shame that some distributors take the advantage of Ebay won't pull MB auctions anymore and they start posting their items there. Oh well, Moving on and we will sell MORE MORE.smileys/smiley20.gif</font>

I am not mad about it at all, I try not to waste time on this, BUT..

Why are they using the companies pictures on the site? If they are ex-distributors, they know the rules about that, its like a slap in the face to Mia Bella.

But Olivia I am glad your not worried about it, looks like they don't have hardly anyone buying from them, no one has placed a bid for a lot of them.

What comes around goes around, always.

There will always be those who break policy, or use the excuse they are no longer distributors.

If you lead your business with integrity, it won't matter who is selling what on where or for what price. You'll do just fine. http://www.wahm.com/forum/smileys/smiley20.gif

Another tactic used by a lot of people in direct sales companies is to have someone else list their items on eBay. This way THEY aren't breaking any rules.

Don't let it bother you though...as the ladies above stated, just go about your business with integrity and great customer service!
