Hi All! I'm hoping someone can help me, I've never had this before with the candles. One of my clients says that she is burning a big candle but the candle is only burning down the center and the wax is sticking to the sides. Has anyone had this issue? What do I suggest she do to fix it?

Check w/ her to make sure she has BOTH wicks lit (at the same time). Having them both lit helps ensure a clean even burn.

Apparently she has been burning both wicks, so that isn't the problem. Maybe she got an "off" candle.

Make sure she is burning it a couple hours too! If you only burn less than an hour it won't melt the wax on the edges. I burn mine at least 2 hours and it will melt the sides. If she does not want to burn it that long then she should be burning votives instead.

Was this the first time she burned it? I found this article, it's actually about scent throw, but also mentions burning.

Different scents will be stronger than others and it also depends on
the environment and layout of your house. Air exchange, air purifiers,
dehumidifiers, fans, and height of your ceilings all have an effect
as to how strong you will smell a particular scent. To get a proper
scent throw, you have to let the candle melt a wax pool all the way
out to the edge of the jar and approximately 1/4" deep.
This takes longer the first time you light a candle (1 to 4 hours)
and it trains the candle to melt this way each consecutive time you
light it.

actually, she told me she burned the candle for about six hours straight. she's not unhappy with the scent, just that it was burning down the middle and there was still wax on the sides.

Mika,

I'd let the company know. Send an email to Bobby and tell him. Something might be wrong with the candle.....
