How do you divide the bookings, sales and recuits to make it fair to you both?
I think my director gives them the bookings and keeps sales and recruits for herself, but I'd like to get other views, too.

I would ask the new consultant what she plans to do with BC. If she is in for it like you are-I would split the bookings if there is more than one. And depending on the recruits-I would split it up or give them to her-or you keep the recruits and she take the sales (may help her qualify).
I just think its important to ask her if she wants the recruits-if she is willing to "take care of them"-if she is not-then you take them.

Good ideas! She is definitely planning on doing this as a business. I think splitting everything down the middle, when possible, may be best.

I give it all to them. I want them to see how easy it is to do this business. Plus, it will usually qualify them if they haven't already.

All, just want to caution you a bit...be careful giving a new recruit, new recruits. If you are working on building a strong team, you may want to keep the new recruits under you vs. someone else that is brand new. After listening to the veterans in our unit and listening to multiple leadership CDs, I made the decision to only do "Welcome Spas" for those who placed a qualifying order, either at sign up or at BeautiU. That way, they have made a commitment to try and work the business and I have no problem giving them the sales and bookings from their welcome spa.
But, I make it clear that I am in the process of building a strong team and therefore, while they are learning the business, I will take the recruits as I will be able to get them up and running easier. Most of the time, they are perfectly fine with this as they are focused on $$. Also, when I do their welcome spas, I expect them to have everything set up ahead of time (supplies, product, food, drink, etc) before I arrive so that we can spend an hour before the spa tweeking the set up, talking about expectations, etc.
Just my 2 cents. I have met quite a few consultants who signed up under someone brand new and were left in the dark not comfortable going above them to their directors. Understand, that I am only speaking of recruits from the "welcome spa". To me, this is strictly a training opportunity:)
