See if there is a newcomers club in your area. If so, join & make friends. See if there is a MOMS or MOPS club & see if you can do a spa presentation at one of their meetings, or offer a drawing of some sort. Check the local paper for club meeting times or sometimes these groups meet at a local church. See if there is a home school association in your area. See how much it is to join your local chamber of commerce. Even if you don't join, find out when the local activites are & attend. They are all the time having ribbon cuttings for new businesses, social hours, etc. If you are a member, they will usually let you put flyers, hand-outs in their office for people new to the area to come & pick up. Contact the local high schools & see how much is to advertise in the sports programs (too late for football, but basketball is coming up!). Contact the drill team sponsor & see what type of make-up the girls wear. My neice is in drill team & they all are REQUIRED to purchase Mary Kay to wear at games. Guess who is a MK consultant????? See if you guys can get an "in" there! Offer to do a skin care class or make up party (mother -daughter thing) & have a drawing for something. A lot of stay at home moms attend story time at the local library with their toddlers. Many are lonely & looking for ways to connect with people. Think about hosting a stay at home moms event - provide something for the kids to do (supervised) & serve a small snack. Share with them how to make extra money while still staying at home! Just soem random thoughts!!!!!

Also, did you attend/graduate from college? Were you or your wife in a fraternity or sorority? See if there are any local exes chapters. Great way to connect with people, you already have something in common. Some years back we moved to an area where we knew no-one! My husband worked all the time & I was at home with a 2 year old! I met many people through the MOMS club & newcomers club.

My wife and I both have masters degrees.
You know, we have a directory of one of our
colleges full of addresses, phone numbers, and
email addresses.
I see a back door approach coming to fore.smileys/smiley17.gif
We are already using our new church directory in
a back door approach. Just started.

This is a little out there but during lunch today I went to have my car washed. The place must have changed hands since I was there last but it was really cool. They have a pizzeria in there and all kinds of stuff. I have never seen anything like it and have no idea if that type of car wash is all around or not? There was a lady set up in the front giving flew shots and I got to thinking about Arbonne.
Look around at places where people are waiting on something and if you have a car wash like the one I went to it could be a great place to hang out for a while. Most of these places are locally owned, you could ask the owner if you could set up a table therewith Arbonne info and samples. People are bored while waiting for their car and a place like that attracts tons of people! There were so many moms w/ kids there!
Just a thought. It would be worth a try.
