How do you feel about selling for more than one company?
Do you find it hard to manage both businesses? Do you find that customers don't take you as seriously if you are always offering something different or are they happy to have more options? Or do you have different groups of custumers for each business?

How do you handle recruiting? Do you just recruit for one business or both?

I have looked at lots of companies and can't really decide between a few. Some compliment, while others compete. I knowI shouldn't probably start more than one at a time, but I just wanted to get some opinions.

Thanks ladies!

I really put everything into AHA ~ and feel I would be spreading myself too thin trying to do more than one...

I no longer have little kids at home, so I have the time to devote to 2 business' They are so different that I really have different customers in each and some cross over. I love home decor and entertaining, but I also love teaching skin care, color cosmetic techniques and I love doing the Spa Escapes to help women de-stress! I have a goal of 2 spas and 1 home decor show a week. So far so good. If down the road one ends up taking off more than the other, then I may give one up as a business. But i will always buy for myself!

I think one needs to be the main focus. Tupperware is my focus and I also sell Gabby Goodies, but I don't advertise for it. I signed up to compliment Tupper. I love the mixes wrapped up with Tupper.

You also have to keep in mind some companies will not allow you to be in more than one and move up the management ladder. Just something to think about.

So Cheryl, you do two BeautiControl parties a week AND one Southern Living party a week? WOW! But like you said, you don't have any little ones. I imagine it would be harder with children at home.

I guess I need to narrow my choices down. I love to decorate, but I love to cook too. And I bet adult parties are fun too! DECISIONS! DECISIONS!!!

Maybe you could do something that combines them both - the decorating and cooking I mean -- I don't think there is a cooking/adult combo LOL http://www.wahm.com/forum/smileys/smiley36.gif- but like Taste of Home is it?, Southern Living and a few others have home decor items as well as things for the kitchen and entertaining. And Pampered Chef has added alot more decor and entertaining items.... Good Luck with your decision! Best Wishes! Let us know what your new business is when you decide!! http://www.wahm.com/forum/smileys/smiley2.gif

I just have one businesshttp://www.wahm.com/forum/smileys/smiley1.gifAs a supervisor, I cannot recruit for another company, which is just fine with me, because I wouldn't want to!

There are companies I think that would go well together, but I would start with one, get it established first, before adding another.

Best wishes!

I have a vision of baking stones and lacy aprons! http://www.wahm.com/forum/smileys/smiley2.gifThat would be a fun night out!!
In any case, Iam a one company kind of girl. I honestly think that I couldn't juggle more than one, even if I wanted to. And as close as I am to being promoted with SHS I can't any way.

Home decor is my vote!!! Follow your heart though and you can't go wrong!

When I first started Home and Garden Party 9 years ago I was still with a candle company. I found it too hard to balance which business to promote since HGP also had a candle line so after about 2 years I focused on HGP.

I have to devote my time to one company. I love what I do and want to do it all the time. If you love the companies you choose - you will be successful. Many blessings to you.

That's a good question!

I think two companies can work....until you have a large team. Then, I can see how it might get confusing. As for products though, I think it can work if your products compliment each other and not compete. I am a consultant with The Body Shop at Home, and I love it! I don't work it full time, but that's because I don't want to. I just joined another company (Scentsy) that I'm very excited about too. I plan on marketing and selling Scentsy differently than the way I do with The Body Shop...but nothing's written in stone yet so we'll see how it goes http://wahm.com/forum/smileys/smiley2.gif.

If my downline gets big with either one of them, I might find it hard though.
