So ... suppose one were to have a booth at a wedding fair, with little fancy scent sachets or votives in holders, and have a price list for favors...
...and then suppose you had a flyer there about how the couple could "earn" their favors with a home party or online party ... "earn" X favors for X amount of sales.. do you suppose anyone would go for that?
I ask because I have a wedding fair in mind in February but I know the booths are not cheap, and if it's a really silly idea I don't want to bother. ;)

I like the idea as well. Nothing wrong with promoting that you do parties and maybe you could garner some extra business for yourself. What kind of favors would you be making?

Either votives with holders--labeled on the front with the bride and groom's name and the date, and on the bottom with my phone number; or scent sachets.
But for the scent sachets, instead of using bags, I would copy an idea based on a little gift I got at a function in high school back in 2001. It was a tulle circle with some crinkle paper shreds inside (I hope you know what that is because that's the best way I know to describe it, lol!), a tiny wedding bell, and a little molded wax thing for the scent. I know the grated wax is a stronger scent, but their molded wax was so strong that I took apart the sachet looking for some sort of scented oil insert, and found only the wax piece.
Anyway, then I would tie it with a ribbon and attach a tag with the bride and groom's name and date, and a tiny warning on the back that the wax inside will melt if not kept at room temperature, and my phone number of course.
