Thanks ladies for your comments on my first post. Believe me, I will give BC a fair chance. I just enjoy the jewelry too. Perhaps I will just work them both and do whatever my clients want whether they want a spa or a jewelry show. I have gone through and looked at previous posts to get info on school shows and work shows, but the posts only ask for templates of such letters to be e-mailed to them. So, I never got to actually read one. I would greatly appreciate if someone that has had success with school and work shows could give me an example of both letters. I thought of a few more questions.

1. Would it be better to e-mail letters to employers and principals or physically mail it? Maybe e-mail and then mail if no response? What do you think.

2. What if I had a hostess that wanted both a jewelry show and a spa? Now, legally I know I can't do a show where I promote both companies, however, what if I did two seperate shows in the same day? Say I did a spa for one hour, closed it, and then did a jewelry show for 30 mins. Then had checkout time at the end for both? What do you think?

Thanks in advance! I look forward to hearing from you.

After you call them then EMAIL any letters. And then follow up with another phone call to verify schedule. THis will let them know you really want to help them and work as a partner with them. You might even set it up as a quarterly thing to get more teachers in and to keep your reorder business going. Present the sets as PROGRAMS or TREATMENTS and they like that wording because it makes them feel special. EXAMPLE: I am offering pampering TREATMENTS today. The PROGRAM you are trying usually cost $110.00 but because you are a preferred group I am offering you a starter special of $95.00 on your first program. etc......

As far as two shows in one day, I think that is perfectly fine. You will have closed one and then opened another. I think that is a nice idea!

As for letters to principals, I would write a letter and send it in the mail and then follow up with the secretary to schedule a short appt. with the principal. My husband is in education at a high level and literally gets 50-100 emails a day and he hates how much time it takes out of his day to read and respond to each one. Unfortunately, something like yours could get deleted. A written letter will be opened by the secretary and screened, then she will place it in his box for his approval (or not). With a follow up appointment made (5 min or less-principals are usually very busy) I think you will get a better response. JMO
