I believe success in Arbonne is won or lost in your daily activities. So I'm starting a topic for everyone to share what they did for their business today. It will help others get ideas for their dailies!
Today I...called my hostess for next week's party (no guest list from her yet, I'm getting worried), have 2 potential BBs attend a Mercedes Car Presentation with me tonight and emailed all of my wholesale consultants just to check in with them.
So, what did you do today?

I met with a new BB and started to train her so she could start meeting with people (of course I will go with her too). I am meeting with my bro in law and his wife tonight for dinner.. I plan I talking to them also. I also work on some gifts (arbonne products) for a womens group I run this weekend.. I talked with two people about what they wanted to order
I had a good Arbonne day.... Good luck everyone

I called & scheduled a drop off ofmy lastRE9 set for this evening & actually just got back from dropping it off. While in the neighborhood, I stopped at an old acquaintance's house to get his roommate's girlfriend's #, called her & dripped on her a bit. She knows I will be calling next week to talk about a class. I met with my BB (yes, only 1 so far) for 2 hours, did some training & went over the agenda for the class we are doing tomorrow. This morning I listened to the learn & burn with Rita Davenport & Cindy Pipkin (10 things I wouldn't do again) & Today Matters with John Maxwell. I went online to the library & reserved a couple of his books, I really enjoyed him. Cindy was very helpful also, I always enjoy her. I dropped off some product knowledge sheets for the RE9 at my eye drs office for one of the assistants, she has to run it past her dermatologist before she can use it. While driving around doing errands, I had Michael Clouse in the cd player.
Whew! Thank goodness it's evening & I can chill. Now if only I could get my brain to shift to low gear!!Edited by: Kiana's Mom

I had a good Arbonne day. I left a sample with a lady 3 day;s ago, she placed a $450 order and requested catalogues to give to her girlfriends. She loves the guava berry scrub, which by the way is sold out. Thank goodness I have a new one at my house. I received a phone call from someone that I met last December, she is wanting some products and is interested in earning some extra cash. I had a great Arbonne day

I may be first but I havn't gotten anything from that yet. The two people from Cwahm that are ordering from me (they told me yesterday) is Jill the owner.. we are friends... and another girl that I have become friends with there.. I also ordered from her a little bit ago. We know each other from a couple of groups.. she is pregs and due at the same time as me. So the Christmas group hasn't done anything yet.

Awesome thread! I think we should do this every day to keep us focused on activity that actually gets results!
So, today Ifollowed upwitha friend who was already familiar with the products and mentioned that she was interested in buying products through me. She thought you had to be a business builder if you signed up as a consultant for $29 but I explained that she could just order products for herself at 35% off. For now she just wants to be a client so I signed her up and I'll of course keep in touch with her to let her know of my progress and see if she might want to be a business builder or consultant down the line.
I also placed my first Arbonne order (signed up on Oct. 1st). I ordered some RE9 samples and a few pieces of the RE9 line for myself/to send out with samples I give to friends. I can't afford the entire line right now but I'm doing what I can!

I had a difficult Arbonne day. Someone I've been talking to for a while said her aunt just signed up under another consultant and my friend is going to join her team, since their family and all. I totally understand where she's coming from, I would insist she signed up under her aunt either way, but it's still hard news to hear!
As the saying goes...when one door closes another one opens...I just need to concentrate on the next door!
I will make tomorrow a better day!

LMichelle -
So disappointing! I heard my ENVP at a meeting say that she believes that the people who are supposed to be in her business end up in her business, those that aren't supposed to, don't. I know that doesn't do much for you today - but maybe one day soon it'll be clear!!
I passed out two pups - one to one of my children's classmates moms AND her mother in law. An example of what is supposed to happen, happens. Last week I was in tears because we'd talked & I'd agreed to send the pup home with her daughter on Wed. She contacted me on Fri (the pick up day) to say that she had never received it! I rushedup to the school - no one had seen it! I spoke with the teacher (one of my first wholesale buyers) & she spoke with the janitor that evening. Turns out, one of the younger kids had taken it to another room to see what was in the pretty gold bag! He had placed it somewhere for "safe" keeping! I ended up talking to the mother in law on Fri. and she asked me if she could try one, too! So, we will see how it all turns out! I also left a biz packet for a potential biz builder (still looking for the first!).
I invited 3 people to an Arbonne Now meeting tonight - no takers!
I'm planting seeds!!!!

I went to the nail salon to see if the manager liked the sea salt scrub she bought from me a couple of weeks ago, she said she loved it and also wanted the Re9 set. I am having a great month and have sold 5 Re9 sets along with other products.

Hi Julie,
Do you mind telling us how you approached the nail salon mgr.? I have several near me but am unsure what products to show them or how to approach them. Do you show them the skin care set or start with the Spa products? Any advice would be appreciated! Thanks,
Beth

Here is what I have done. I got a newsletter from a realtor the other day who said to email when we got it and you would get free movie tickets if the first to email back. Well I emailed, didn't get the tickets, but she offered to put an ad in her local realtor paper about Arbonne. So I am going to be doing that and then I just asked her if she wanted to try the RE9 and she said yes! I am dropping it off later today.
I have a pick up tomorrow at 6:30. I emailed the secretaries at my old school i used to work with (i still keep in contact with them) and told them i have a goal of having 2 people try per week and i needed their help! I haven't heard back yet though. I would have called but I don't have their phone numbers. I sure hope atleast one writes back. If I can get one to try I surely can get all 4 of them to try!!
I mailed out two packets of info about gift baskets to two dentists that i use now and used in the past. Not sure when I will call them. Maybe Thursday.
I had a pick up yesterday and she didn't have time to listen to me but she did tell me she loved the stuff and was sure she would buy some of it but couldnt at that second becasue she was on her way to a last minute hair appointment. So I dont know if she will buy or not!! I guess i will call her tomorrow.
Bye!

Today I organized my files & went over a couple of things with my biz builder. I followed up on 2 RE9 sets that are out, one tried it & liked it but she says she really likes the stuff she is getting from Victoria Principal, the other didn't even try it, she says she is happy with Origins, neither had an interest in the biz opp. My 3rd pick up rescheduled for tomorrow, she had a migraine. I'll have to remember to tell her that some have receivedrelief from them with Prolief. My daughter called to reschedule her mother daughter party this weekend for next weekend. All in all not a fabulous Arbonne day but I am 2 no's closer to my next yes!!!

I guess I haven[t checked this topic for a while. As for the nail salon owner, I left her a sea salt scrub for customers to use also an Re9 sample for herself. When I asked how she liked the scrub she let me know that she loved it and was alsointerested in buying the Re9 set. She asked about a facial scrub and I told her that if she was interested in buying the set I would give her the scrub as a gift. I will be delivering her set tommorow.
I also wanted to share that I totally got out of my comfort zone today and handed a lady a sample while out shopping, she was in line in front of me and was discussing the fact that she had just moved to the area. I handed her an Re9 sample and a biz card, told her to try the product for 3 day's then call me. Will let you know what happens. I am having a great month and it has given me courage to do things I would noramally not do.

I listened to a conference call with Sonia Stringer yesterday and it was very motivating. She listed 5 key points, in a nutshell
1. write down the calls/contacts you are going to make today first thing in the morning
2. have a bulleted list to help give you confidence in what you are going to say. Use it as a guide only to prompt them, DON"T DO ALL THE TALKING!!!
3.Figure out when you are going to call. Write it down so you don't put it off! Set a start and finish time. You need to respect your time so your family (or yourslef)doesn't resent the business. If you set a limit of when you need to finsh by, you are more likely to be efficient. It also makes the business more attractive to prospects. If they see you at the beck and call of your business, living a haphazard life, do you think they would want that??
4. Be clear about your expectations. Do not use dead end questions like "do you think you can try this set?" Have in mind your desired outcome and lead them by giving them two choices that get you to that outcome. For example "You will love these products. Can you try this set over the weekend, or would starting Monday be better for you?" or " I really want to share with you what I am doing, let's get together for coffee. Can you make it after you drop off the kids, or is lunch time better?"
5. Set a follow up appointment/call with your goal in mind. Make sure they know you will need to talk with them when you pick up your set, for example. Make sure they know you will call them 3 days after you give them a sample. Make sure they know you will need their guest list when you call them back. That type of thing.
Mainly it was on running your business like a business with purpose. Still leave time for those chance encounters, but don't depend on them. If we want to make money doing this, we need to spend 60-70% of our time in MONEY MAKING activity, and the rest in training/personal growth/administrative stuff.
So what have I done since then? NOTHING!!! well, a couple emails to my downline, andtouched base with my one and only person who has a demo set(she hasn't started it yet)
I will start tomorrow, (she said with a chuckle! famous last words)

anet, tht was a great post, thanks!!smileys/smiley32.gifIt makes so much sense and is exactly what I need. I find that I spend way too much time on line and not enough on the phone. I am great at putting off those calls. Yesterday I was at a salon that I signed doing product launch and knowledge with customers. We had lots of questions, no sales yet but ... drip. My upline was with me and she really got to have some good conversations with the employees, telling them what she has done in her salon in a smaller town. Got to mention that she is about to get her NEW WHITE MERCEDES!! That really got their attention. Then we took samples and prospecting packets to two other salons in town, completely cold calls, something new for me but it was easy because there were two!! I got so excited and now I just hope the seeds we planted take root! I want to thank everyone on this forum for all the help and support you give. This place is awesome and so is this company!!!smileys/smiley2.gif

I'm curious, what is your approach? Do you ask for them to stock the products, then show them how to get at a discount? Then do they stock Arbonne alongside their other products? I'd like to approach some salons, but haven't quite worked it out in my little pea brain! Do you approach the owner/manager or a stylist?

I approach the owner and give samples and info on the biz. The one salon that I signed, the owner loves the RE9 and is retailing it in her salon and haveing wonderful success. She is also letting any of her employees sign up under her and then they can retail to their customers and/or sign up other people. She likes the retail profit but she definitely sees the big picture and the resiual income would be her way to cut back or stop woeking behind the chair altogether. My upline is a salon owner(actually she bought my salon when I move 1 1/2 years ago. I was a hairdresser for 21 years so am familiar with that area. Anyway, my upline started in Feb or March of this year and will make RVP this month(hopefully) or next for sure! And she doesn't even retail, just signs everyone up. She only has three of her employees signed up and they are doing what she does. Anyway, I am rambling. If you can get a meeting set up to talk to them and explain the opportunity and benefits of signing up their employees, etc. to eventually earn that residual income, it is realy a no-brainer. They can work Arbonne right along side their hair biz so there is no extra time involved with parties, etc. My upline has not had one party. Also, they have a steady stream of customers in everyday(with hair and skin) and the customers rely on their hairdresser to let them know what is best for them. A lot will buy just because their hairdresser says it is good. I think the salon is about the most perfect place for working Arbonne. I have some files on salons that I will try to dig up and send you. Let me know if you need anything and good luck!!smileys/smiley2.gif

Thanks Lori -
I'll take anything you send!!! I also think a salon is a perfect way to market Arbonne! I hate to shop & get confused when confronted with multiple choices, so I usually purchase what is recommended. Arbonne is perfect because of try before you buy AND the 45 day guarantee! What could be better?

I'm a little discouraged. I stayed up all night putting together what I call a mini Arbonne party to take to a local salon. I called ahead, and was excited because they said they'd never heard of Arbonne. Anyway, when I got there they told me that theyhad an exclusivecontract with dermalogica, and that they had already been approached by an "Arbonne Lady." Ouch! So I took the party to one of my daughter's doctor's office instead. We'll see!
