Funny seeing this post. I am going to type up my relaxation script tonight for my unit and Executive Director. Once I have that done, I will upload it here too.

Here it is ... Feel free to change as you need. Remember, it is your tone that matters most!
Relaxation Script by Celeste Edwards

Be sure to remind guests to turn off cell phones. Eye pads and washcloths are on.
Now I want you to breathe in deeply. In thru your nose and out your mouth.
Again, take a deep breath in thru your nose and out your mouth, you should feel your chest rise.
I want you to clear your mind. Let all your thoughts fade away. It’s time to let all your stress go.
I want you to release all the muscles in your face, your jaw, neck and shoulders.
As I say each muscle, release your biceps, triceps, elbows, wrists, hands and fingers.
I want you to picture all the negative energy and stress running thru your body like a current and release let it out/let it go. (You might even feel a tingle when they do this…weird)
Now release all the muscles in your upper back and chest, your stomach and lower back.
You should feel as if you are melting into your (chair, couch, or floor). You should feel gravity pulling you in.
Your legs are heavy. Release your hips. As women we tend to hold a lot of tension in our hips. Release these joints. Release your thighs, knees, calves, shins, ankles, feet and toes.
Again, I want you to picture all the negative energy and stress running thru your body like a current and release let it out/let it go.
Your mind is clear, your body relaxed. You are completely at peace.
Now, I’d like you to picture the most relaxing place on earth for you.
That might be at the beach; enjoying the warm sun, and hearing the waves roll across the shore. It might be in the mountains; or it might just be relaxing all alone with a good book. Just go to a place where you can be alone and quiet.
So, in the future when you’re feeling stressed. I want you to focus and go here in your mind and breathe in deeply in thru your mouth and out your nose.
Be alone and quiet.
I’m going to give you a couple more minutes to be by yourself. I want you to remember how important it is to take time for yourself and take the time to relax, take the time to breathe, and take the time to de-stress.
Take one last deep breath in, and as you exhale, feel all your stresses gone.
But like all Escapes, we have to come home. (I always get a laugh ~ I took this from Angie Barrett)
Go ahead and take off your washcloth, put eye pads in your baggie…How did that feel???
Your tone of voice is SO important with this script. DO it slow and guide them thru this experience!!

yes, he is looking forward to sitting down with Chad again and talking taxes! what in the world are you doin up this late.... I had to paint a sign for a stork delivery tomorrow in Westfield, the paint is almost dry and them I am hitting the sheets!

I'm ALWAYS up this late. It's my only down time! Kids are asleep and I can work in peace and quiet! I'm also trying to watch Rescue Me! I LOVE that show! Now you go to bed! Need to get that beauty sleep for our unit meeting tomorrow!I think we're both presenting. I'll see you then!
