I would think that you would advertise your website addy and the fundraiser. Then donate however much you alloted for the fundraiser to the cause yourself. Thats how I planned on doing it anyway. Good luck!

Just remember that you only recieve a small amount from each candle through online sales. I've created a list of my own that says how much per item I can donate for a fundraiser, based on the amount I would normally get from the sales.
This is what the org would get from me off of online sales:
Jars- $3
Votives-$10
Bella Bar- $.05
Hand Wash- $.75
Body Wash- $1
Bella buns (box of 16)- $25
Single Bella Buns- $1
Air Fresheners- $.10
Simmer Pot- $1
Melts- $1.50

So you see, for most items the org would not get much. I would say that if you do online fundraising, then suggest that people opt for the jars or votives, or boxes of Bella Buns since those would give them the bigger donations. But as you see from my list, I'm prepared to give them credit for anything that is sold.

As for tracking, I would have the customer put a specific letter or initials after thier name so that you can identify that particular order and credit that towards the organization. Other wise it's going to be difficult to keep track of which orders are for the org and which are just regular online orders.

The other thing that I will be doing is that anytime the same customer re-orders, I will keep sending a donation to the school. That way you can make the online aspect of the fundraiser ongoing.

Why don't you just do jars? And have the organization put there initials in the order and then when the fundraiser is done, give them 40% or more of the totalprofit?
Example: they raise $100, give them 40% of the $100 and you keep the rest.

What is your goal for the "On-Line" fundraiser? Is it targeted at people local to the organization, or nationally? Why are you holding it online?

Are you looking for info about how to advertise, or about how to orchestrate the orders? (or both?)

I have 2 fundraisers in the works so, if you want me to tell you how I am doing those, please feel free to let me know!

How would you afford to give them that much? Remember we are talking about online fundraisers... If they raise $100 in jar candles, that's only 5 candles... you as a rep would only get about $30 from the $100... I guess I'm not understanding what you mean.

40% of $100 is $40, so they get $40 and I would get $60. I am talking about internet sales, so it would be the amount I get from the check I recieve in the mail. So if the check I get is $100, then that is how much they raised! Get it now?

I have one running on my website for our local dog rescue but it stipulates that the orders have to come through me by email or phone because that is the only way I can make money to donate to the organization. They get $5 per jar and I only donate from the jars. I have had them order other things(soaps, air fresheners etc) but they are told that only proceeds from the jars go to the fundraiser. I haven't had any problem with it and the organization advertises from their website with a link to mine. Good luck!
