Hi Ladies,
New here. I found you as I was just playing on the web. I started as an independent consultant in July and am now at DM level. Am so motivated (like many of you) after ACT Now and also have enjoyed reading your back posts - so many familiar feelings and also very informative!
I have a question regarding Arbonne and Rosacea. My mom ended up sending back her RE9 set (much to my dismay) b/c it made her Rosacea flare up. I had another prospect who said it burned her skin (who also has Rosacea). What is the deal? Is there one step that anyone has found to be too strong for sensitive skin? My upline and I were thinking the Serum or the Lift. What line would be best for sensitive skin?
Thanks for any help!!

My RVP told me that women with Rosacea should not use the RE9 at all because it would make it worse. She did not, however, tell me what product would be best for them. Stupid me for not asking. I'm very new. I just signed up in September so I still have a lot to learn.

If anyone's uplines (or whoever) knows which line would be best please let me know. I've gotten my mom Rejeuvenating Creme & some other Bio Hydria moisturizer but don't know if she's tried them yet. I was so bummed that she could not use the RE9- it's always nice to have your mom on board!
Thanks for any info!

Have you checked the pdf file on Arbonne.com? Log in as a consultant, then go to field support, then download forms. It should be listed there.

I've always heard the Bio-Matte is best for people with Rosacea. I'm pretty sure I read that on the Arbonne website.

I have a lady that has rosacea and she loves the normal to oil. I am not sure if it would be different for someone else. Thatis what she found she likes...

Sorry to bring up old thread!
What product or combination of products does anyone suggest when someone you are introducing the product to for the first time mentions they have "rosacea?"
I see that the RE9 is not a good line for that, but my mom has it and uses the Intelligence line with the RE9 night cream and she says it has cleared her skin up. She justtried theRE9 sample I gave her and loves it, but is going to finish the Intelligence set she has before she orders more.
I am sending my aunt some information and wanted to include samples but dont want her to have a bad reaction to the products.
Any help would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks

Anything with ingredients in it that stimulate the skin will make the rosacea worse. If you go online and log in to "Internet Consultants" and then go under tab "product knowledge", click on the link titled "Medical/Preg FAQ". There it lists medical conditions with a link to a PDF that gives you the suggested @rbon skin regimen.
I copied a little of it for you here:
what it is
Rosacea is a condition of the skin often referred to as adult acne (although it shouldn’t be confused with acne) that causes red blemishes to form on the nose and cheek area. General redness, broken and enlarged capillaries often accompany these areas. The cause of the condition is unknown but it is suspected that genetics play a role. In its mildest form, Rosacea can be difficult to recognize. It almost always affects the nose area with red blemishes among red patches on the skin. Sometimes, oily skin accompanies Rosacea.
Flare-ups of this condition have been associated with the consumption of alcohol, spicy foods, citrus, hot beverages, tobacco, external heat and sun exposure. Clients with this condition should be advised to avoid these irritating factors. Menopause may also be a factor.
which products are suggested
Unless directed otherwise by a physician, some specific Arbonne skin care products may help to ease the discomfort and negative effects of Rosacea.
The following gentle products may be used:
• Cleanser: Arbonne Intelligence Daily Cleanser, Arbonne Intelligence Daily Balancer
• Moisturizer: Arbonne Intelligence Daily Moisturizing Cream, Day & Night, Arbonne Intelligence Daily Eye Cream
• Specialty: Arbonne Intelligence Rejuvenating Cream, Arbonne Intelligence Skin Conditioning Oil, Arbonne
Intelligence Personalizer, ABC Sunscreen SPF 30+.
Note: Avoid products that stimulate the skin (e.g. Arbonne Intelligence Exfoliating Masque with Thermal Fusion,NutriMinC® RE9 , NutriMenC™ RE9).

That is interesting, because my mom uses the R*9 night cream and she told me that it has actually helped clear her skin...
I will stick to what they suggest!
Have you had anyone with Rosacea use the products?

Actually my dad and my husband have a very little amount of Rosacea and they actually thought the men's R*9 helped them. It could also be that it has a little bit of sunscreen in it and they weren't using anything that had a sunscreen in it before. So that might have helped their rosacea. Not sure.
If your mom likes the R*9, let her try it without the serum. The serum has alpha hydroxy in it and I know that will irritatesensitive skin. The cleanser might also be too stimulating. But that is just my opinion.
Good-Luck!!

Well that might be why my mom is okay using the R*9 night cream because she has very little. My mom used the entire R*9 sample and says she likes it better than the AI.
My aunt is the one that I am going to send her samples, but she did want me to know that she has "bad" rosacea. Well, I will just suggest her the AI and see how she likes it.
Thanks!

I would suggest using the A.I. line and avoid masks & scrubs. Good luck!

I have rosacea, and it got really badafter Ihad beenusing the entire R*9 set for a while, so now I just use the R*9 face wash, my prescription rosacea medicine, and (though I really hate to admit it) this Aveeno ultra-calming lotion specifically for people with super-sensitive skin prone to redness. I think the witch hazel in the toner irritates my skin, and the serum stimulates it too much, too. The eye cream seems to be fine - I'm just out of it right now, but I can use it - but the moisturizer is too oily for me. I tried the AI moisturizer, too,but I started breaking out, so I got scared my rosacea would really flare up again and went back to the Aveeno. The mineral powder foundation is AWESOME, though, for concealing the redness that's still there - I'm absolutely in love! One weird thing about rosacea, though, is that after a while, you build up a resistance or something to whatever you're using and have to change to something else, so it could be that certain things might work for someone for a year but then stop working, and it'll flare up again...so they can always try @rbonne again at that time... smileys/smiley1.gif
