I seem to recall (can't name where though) someone mentioning you can WASH YOUR HAIR with the Bella Bar?

Can you really do this? Is it more suitable for Normal Hair (LOL..who's hair is NORMAL these days!) and does anyone have any testimonials about using the bars as shampoo?

I figure it would be a good selling point to my clients.

ALSO, are there going to be any tealight candles?

Hi Irene,

I know that John MacFadden say that he uses it to wash his hair with. Maybe you could try his board to see if he has acutally posted it there.

I do not know about the tealights!

Last I heard the company wasn't going to be making tealights because they're not economical in a business sense. It takes about as much time to make a tealight as it does a votive.

Yes, if you read about the Bars on the company website, it says about using the bar to showering, shaving and shampooing. It's great for anyone with thin hair, gives alot of body to it. I shave with it...gives a nice clean shave. Have alot of men customers who use it too. Also, it makes it nice when you travel, you don't have to lug alot of bottles with you....just grab your bar and go!

Nan

Oh, also great to use on pets if they have any type of skin conditions, like hot spots, flea bites, etc.

Aw smileys/smiley19.gif, I was hoping they would add tealights to the mix because during my brief tenure with another candle company, I had a customer who loved tealights.

When my hair was shorter, I did try it for a couple days. My hair was clean and felt thick, but got oily faster that when I use shampoo. That's just my head of hair though...lol

Okay, everyone. Give it a try and report back. smileys/smiley4.gif

Yes someone let us know.

From a good guess I'd say folks will probably experience something similiar to what Sarah experienced with her hair getting oily faster than with shampoo. I say that because the Bella Bar is natural and most shampoos contain the chemicals SLS (sodium lauryl sufate)orSLES (sodium laureth sulfate) which is the alcoholform of SLS. These chemicals dry the hair out. Have you ever noticed your hair "squeaks" after you wash it? Yep...that's because it's been stripped "clean". smileys/smiley2.gif

Ok all you Bella Bar testers GO GO GO!! smileys/smiley17.gif

I heard the same thing so I tried it twice.

I have long hair. The first time I tried it -it was great - It took all the build up off and I had thickness and body I never had before. But then I tried it again a few days later and it was like it coated my hair. Like someone said it was like it was greasy and had no body. I don't know if I just did not rinse it well or not. Since then I have been afraid to try again. Anyone else have long hair and like it?

My hair is medium length and I have used the Bella Bar many times to wash my hair and so has my 3 children.

I love it! We just returned from a family gathering weekend and that is all we used... for our body soap and shampoo and I love the way my hair & skinfeels.. very soft. smileys/smiley17.gif

I love Dr. Bronners soap. It is great--no SLS or other detergents--all natural--so it doesn't "strip" your hair or skin to cleanse it. When I use it--I don't feel like I have to hurry and put lotion on b/c I am so dry.

I think it is the same w/ our Bella Bars. (I don't use themon my hair--but I wash w/ them)

Our Bella Bars give the same results. (I use both depending on what scent I want smileys/smiley1.gif)

So, I agree w/ Dinika---you may feel like your hair has gotten greasier sooner w/ it--but I think it is b/c your hair (skin)wasn't totally stripped of all it' oils during washing

My skin always feels clean, soft and moisturized. smileys/smiley4.gif

Hi Mia Bella Bar Softies!!smileys/smiley17.gif

When we moved from Florida to Chicago, I noticed that my skin got very dry. That was about a year and a half ago and I still didn't realize what I had my hands on with this scent-sational "little" company!

I was piling up my Bella Bars in boxes while we were in moving transition mode and/or giving them away.

I thought, "Well, I already buy great healthy soap, so I really don't need more soap." um.... Lori Moreno......

WRONG!!!

Bob kept telling me how he loves the Bella bars for shaving... I finally shaved my legs with it and loved it. Then I told my husband let's experiment with these Bella bars and see how our skin feels...

OH MY!!!!

I WILL NEVER USE ANY CLEANSERS AGAIN!!! My skin is soooo soft!

The Bella Bars are amazing. I have one in my shower. When I open the door, the incredible lavender drifts through the room.....

mmmmmmmmmsmileys/smiley27.gif

I haven't tried washing my hair with it. I wonder how it is with blondies?smileys/smiley2.gif

Hey!!!!!

DON'T TOUCH MY BELLA BAR!!!!smileys/smiley7.gif

You are so lucky you can use the Bella Bar as a soap alternative. I just found out (after 1 week of use) I break out in HUGE zits!

Then the brick finally hit the part of my head that actually operates my brain!!!! My skin is very oily..I mean oily enough to supply Arabia! Although I won't have to worry about wrinkles (thanks mom!) but putting something that will moisturize my facial skin is a HUGE no no.

I will say though, using it as a body bar is fabulous. The rest of me doesn't have the problem my face has, and I don't feel al itchy and it's great to shave my legs with.

I figure it would be a good selling point to my clients.

I also wanted to add that I saw an ad for Dove shampoo this morning and they are talking about how their's does not have harsh detergents (ex. sls among others), strip hair of all its natural oils etc..

Our Bella Bars are already there--no detergents and have the cleansing agents and natural products that are good for skin and hair.
