It's hard to believe that I've had so much success already WITHOUT having a Home Partysmileys/smiley4.gif! That just goes to show how successful you can be in the other areas Mia Bella has to offer!
Well tomorrow's my first one and I'm a little nervous but I'm sure I'll get over that once I get up there and start talking about our wonderful, HEALTHY products.
Anyone have any tips or suggestions?

Congratulations on your success and your first home party!
I've done home parties before (not with Mia Bella) and I promise, it's notbad. They can be so much fun. You already have confidence and knowledgein the product you are showcasing.....that aloneis the ultimate factor in a successful home party!.....way before you step through the door.
Confidence! Confidence! Confidence! It's a must. Not only are you selling a product, you're selling yourself. I can't tell you how many home parties I have been to, loved the product, but didn't buy a thing because the demonstrator was:
1. Not fun/interactive
2. Not knowledgable about her product
3. Unapproachable
I actually learned from those parties......what NOT to do.
Remember, you have the best product line available and YOU are the best representative for YOUR company. You walk in there with that head held high and go get 'em!
I know you'll be great and I wish you the best!

Yes! Keep the talk really really short then Play the question game. Give them a raffle ticket (or a piece a paper) for every question they ask about the candles and your job - then have them put their name on them and have a drawing. People come up with excellent questions and then it is not like a lecture. Plus! Even give that a time limit of 5min or less.
then for the fun part - smelling candles! Have you ever noticed the joy it gives people to smell these?everyone gets so giddy smileys/smiley36.gif
Are you bringing cash and carry or just sample scents? I would bring a dozen or so for cash and carry if you can. Don't bring too much or it will look too hard for others that might want to sign up. Cash and carrybecause people impulse buy (sounds terrible doesn't it?) Also up sell - give a discount for more candles they buy or if they book a party. If you offer a gift for having a party - don't give it to them until they have it.
Have other hostess packets and recruiting packets all ready to go. Always ask everyone when they check out.

I'll add:
Are you giving your hostess any free products? If so, I would maybe present them to her at the close--before everyone gets up to smell and buy--or before you ask/do a game to see if anyone there wants to host a party.
Everyone will see what they'll be able to get also if they host!
You MAY also want to do a Party Special on some of your products--a small discount for purchasing that day.

The party was cancelled. It's raining cats and dogs...and a couple of cows here. Plus there's a marathon downtown and my aunt's street is blocked off with no parking available in a 5 mile radius.smileys/smiley19.gifsmileys/smiley19.gifsmileys/smiley19.gif
But we DID turn it into a book party. smileys/smiley32.gifsmileys/smiley32.gifsmileys/smiley32.gifItold her to have her orders and the money back to me by Tuesday (10/11). The way I figure it is since folks were coming to purchase today that shouldn't be a problem.
We've rescheduled the home party for 11/6. This also gives me time to perfect that little Bella Bucks incentive I just learned about last night. YAY!!! smileys/smiley32.gifsmileys/smiley32.gif
