I noticed some sample ads on the Arbonne site. Are we allowed to
use those ads to put display ads in newspapers? If so, anyone
ever done it?

You can post ads, but not use the Arbonne logos, or name. You can talk about yourself as an independent consultant, but remember that you are not hired by Arbonne. You own your own business! Yes, the ads you see on Arbonne's website are company approved. You only need to add your name & phone number!
I have used one of their pre-approved ads before, but must say I didn't get a worthwhile response. So, for me personally, it's not something I'd invest ALOT of money in. If you're able to find papers to advertise for cheap, go for it!
Rmember, this business is more about relationship building. You may want to check the daily newspaper for events you can attend to network with people.
