I'm confused.
I've heard that posting on craigs list is free but when I went thereand clicked on something like post add or I dunno a list came up with areas to post in and it said like 75 bucks per catagory!
I must be doing something wrong. Could soeone set me straight with this please?
After I'm on the main page then what do I do?

I think you were in the jobs category. If you are posting as an employer, then there is a charge.
The category you need is either "for sale" or services/small biz.
