Anyone doing anything with our candles for Halloween? I'm thinking of putting some scent samples, along with instructions, and my business card into little treat bags, tying them up, and handing them outto the parents. Free advertisement right? And who knows, who will be looking for Christmas presents, or maybe even a job? smileys/smiley2.gif

I love the scent samples and think they smell wonderful. BUT ... We hada lady passing out some sort of crystal type thingies one year and the police were at her doorstep in no time. She made the news! (Great business promotion ... lol)

Mia Bella ladiesplease be sure tohand any samples directly to a parent and not put them in a child's bag. smileys/smiley23.gif

Yes, I agree, while most kids wouldnt try and eat the powder and it isnt harmful if digested, i dont think parents would appreciate it and then you would have to give them a free candle!! hahahah

I will defiantely give them to the parents though. We all like treats too!! smileys/smiley36.gif

Isnt our business BOOOOO-tiful!! smileys/smiley20.gif

You know I wasn't going to do anything. But I think I will hand out brochures with a sample attached maybe a bus card. But def to the parents. I am taking my oldest trick or treating, so I figure I will give them to the ones handing out candy. That way no kid gets it and no one has any problems lol.
I would hate to be on tv for that. smileys/smiley19.gif

Oh, I had NO intentions of handing it to the kids. I said parents. Thought they deserved a *treat* too. smileys/smiley2.gif

Great ideas above. I alsowas thinking of giving something out that stood out so people would remember me. So I am handing out glow stick necklaces in a addition to a small pieceof candy. This way it will keep the kids safe - and the parents will be very appreciative (hopefully to get them to come up to the door to start a great conversation and then hand them the scent sample. Most stay in the car or down by the sidewalk)

If I had tons of money (and I might still do this)I would give out a votive to every parent with a flyer and brochure. I think I onlygot 30or so parents last year and about 150 kids! It might be a wise investment and tax write off.

I ordered a bunch of the glow bracelets from the internet and they make into necklaces. They were super cheap on ebay. They came today and my husband had a blast playing with them with the kids!

I can't wait!

PS. Do you ever get the young parents with the "8 month old baby" in the stroller that come trick or treating - come on, the baby can't have a snickers bar!! (tempted to have baby food on hand - peas or carrots!)smileys/smiley36.gif
