Hi all or maybe I should say y'all as I am a Texan now,
As a fairly new consultant I would be interested in some advice for my July order. Among the items on sale this month which are you ordering? In other words which ones would you buy feeling relatively certain you could easily sell? Which sales aids do you think are especially useful as a new consultant? And just for some useful info which BeautiControl product is your personal favorite and why,and which is your top seller at spas?
Thanks in advance for all the great advicehttp://www.wahm.com/forum/smileys/smiley32.gif. I really enjoy spending time on this board and I look forward to meeting you all at Celebration!http://www.wahm.com/forum/smileys/smiley17.gifEdited by: Tex-Mass

it's usually best to keep a small amount of inventory of the products that you demonstrate at the spas. The products that they are able to try, are most likely the ones that they buy. And maybe keep a couple of maintence sets on hand.
i always sell some of the lip apeel, instant manicure, extreme repair hand creme, and margarita foot creme
One piece of advice i have for new consultants is not to go overboard stocking inventory. It's hard not to because the deals are so good. My new rule of thumb is to make sure you have 2 spas on the calender for every $300 in inventory that you order. So, taking advantage of sales and specials is great, as long as you are keeping your calender full.
I love everything, but a couple of my favorites are fango seaweed scrub/masque, green tea masque and the cabana girl pineapple daquiri foot lotion.
good luck

I agree completely with Alyssa! However, I am breaking one of my own rules and ordering the Director's package this month. It is WAY too good to pass up! Let's see....the full retail value (which is what I would sell it for) is $673. But BC has put it on sale for $501. And at 50% discount, it is only $250.50. THAT IS A 63% DISCOUNT!!!!! And I know I will sell/demo/or use for hosttess/booking gifts, all of it! I'm even taking the SYS and bronzer for myself http://www.wahm.com/forum/smileys/smiley2.gif.
I have a gut feeling the Cabana Girl will be phased out, so I will use all that for hostess/booking gifts. The LOS, I might have to hold on to until next summer, but with shelf life of 5 years, no problem! The rest will sell year round! Just my 2 cents. I usually try to stick to the case for inventory, but like I said, 63% discount is over the top. Even at Celebration and Leadership, I have only seen 60%.

I think the Director's Choice package for this month is a great set of products! If you are at the 50% ordering level, the deal actually comes out to giving you almost 65% off!

Hi, Kari! Don't forget about the Unit Meeting Code...I think it actually discounts that package further, so you will get 50% off $466.25!!!

mlbo is right. You only pay like $233 for $673 worth of product.. and you can use the code as many times as you like before the 16th!!

I agree too that when you are getting started you need to try to keep your inventory pretty low. A couple of the great deals that I would purchase if I was new would be the HS foot creme and the sugar lotion and a couple of the eye pads. For sales aids I have never seen the neck wraps reduced that low so I wouldorder someof them.Rememberalso that with the code you can get the new bronzer for $15 intead of $25. I would just order one of those if you wanted. You wouldn't really need to order it unless youreally want it.

Hi! Welcome to the Forum, and welcome to BC! What excellent questions!
I agree with the other ladies on the boards that you should keep a small inventory of the products in your BeautiCase. I would definitely get some of the Show of Hands Instant Manicure. That is a GREAT sale price, and that is THE number one selling product in all of BeautiControl, so you can't go wrong with that! Everyone loves it!
I also always keep at least 1 of each of the Skin Care Sets in stock (Maintenance for 20-30-40-All Clear and Sensitive). It is great to be able to give your future hostess her set the night she books! You can just reorder when you sell one, so you will always have them in stock.
As for sales aides, I ALWAYS buy the minis when they are offered. They make great gifts with purchase, or hostess incentive gifts (I break them up and give them as rewards). You can't go wrong with the Hostess Envelopes, Product Guides, and Spa Express Mini kit, either.
I have lots of favorite products, but I guess my top three are Cell Block C AM (because it keeps my skin safe), Fango Seaweed Scrub Masque (because it keeps my skin smooth and soft), and Pineapple Daiquiri Foot Creme (because it smells divine!). Since that is limited edition http://www.wahm.com/forum/smileys/smiley7.gif, my next favorite thing is Wet/Dry (because it glides on so smoothly and provides a perfect match to my skin tone).http://www.wahm.com/forum/smileys/smiley32.gif
As for best seller's at my spas, it depends on what the theme is! I always sell skin care, so I guess that is the best seller.
Hope that helps! I really don't think you can go wrong with any of the products, though. Just share them and they will sell! Good luck! Marie
Oh yeah! And don't forget Neck Wraps and a Spa CD if you don't have one! That is the cheapest I have ever seen either! Edited by: mlbo

One thing to keep in mind if you are not yet VIP and you use the meeting code, the directors package falls down to $250.50 and you will need to add $49.50 in other product to get to the $300 retail minimum to qualify to use the meeting code (right?).

SpaDivaMO is right. When you click 'Checkout' you should always check your final retail amount and your discount percentage.
I had a new consultant that went to place her qualified order and did not do this, and she processed her order w/o realizing that her retail was at like $492 and her discount was only 40%!! http://www.wahm.com/forum/smileys/smiley7.gif And it was because of items she was not expecting to be on sale! So in order to get her qualified, we had to come up with another $508 in sales within her 90days.What a nightmare!
So I strongly recommend to pay attention to those numbers in the checkout screen. http://www.wahm.com/forum/smileys/smiley2.gif

It would be tough to pick just a few of the sale items this month that
I personally would say I was comfortable would sell easily...because
there are SO many this month!
Of the products on sale this month, I personally have sold the most of
the SYS sea salve, HS foot creme, Sugar products, green tea masque, and
SoH. The LoS and Cabana Girl lines haven't been out long enough
for me to personally say those rank as a best seller, but of those, the
fango seaweed mask in the LoS and the Green Appletini shower gel have
sold the most for me.
When I started, I ordered a few of each of the products that came in
the kit that I thought would sell best (green tea, HS foot creme, SoH
and ER lotion) and bought at least 1 item from each of the bath &
body lines to pass around so people could get a feel for which scents
they preferred.
As for sales aids, everything that came in the kit was a great staple
for me. I agree on ordering the neckwraps since they're on sale,
and I'd also suggest the Spa Express Starter minis since they're on
sale, too. Those are great to give to friends or family to try to
encourage them to book a Spa with you. The foundation selector has
helped me, too, because I can help someone "on the spot" if
conversation works toward make-up! I can't remember if that's included
in the kit now.
My personal best sellers are: Herbal Hydrating Mist, Lash & Lid Bath, Sculptique, Skin Care, and the Wet/Dry.
I can't pick a favorite, but if I HAD to I would have to go with the
Green Tea and Fango/Seaweed Masks, the SYS line and Cell Block-C
AM/PM. And that's assuming we're just picking favorites with the
skin care as a "given" smileys/smiley2.gif

and ER lotion) and bought at least 1 item from each of the bath &
body lines to pass around so people could get a feel for which scents
they preferred.

Hi everyone.
Just wanted to thank all who posted for the great suggestions. I find all your advice extremely helpful. I placed my order this afternoon based on all the great info.
I spent more than I planned but felt it was the right way to go. Sometimes you just have to go with your instincts - hope my husband sees it that way. Until I feel confident of this I am hiding all the evidence. http://www.wahm.com/forum/smileys/smiley2.gif Twenty-three years of marriage teaches you these tricks of the trade.
A great thing about this website is it really gives you a feeling of being around coworkers minus the usual annoying ones you find in every office, plus all of you are so much happier and more helpful. http://www.wahm.com/forum/smileys/smiley32.gif
Thanks again, Debbie
